  1. Please Explain so I can join in on the exciting action. In the words of a great american stand up citizen, "Cant we all just get along"
  2. How right you are. They were very significant players on RH's Team last year. I was simply educating others might have forgot about Kala, not you IF, I appreciate your comments.
  3. devil58, once again I must apologize for my recent post, you may be absolutely right, and you have the right to post anything you choose to post. I hope you accept my apology
  4. I was an avid Lady Devils fan when the Faulkner girls played at Russell and NO way did she get those calls back then like she does now. Did she foul when she played at Russell? sure she did but she didnt get phanthom calls against her. You should do your research more thoroughly before injecting your crap on this thread. Get the Telephone Pole out of your own eye before trying to get a toothpick out of someone else'. Half of the time you Russell Know It alls wouldnt even play her, bottom line is that she takes a stand for what she believes in, we know what really happened, Your little Utopia will one day crumble and fall apart. So dont post what you really dont know nothing about.
  5. Guys, I'm not a dummy, just stirring your feelings a little bit. But on the other hand...some of the teams you mention may not make it out of the District
  6. There were many times that you won three in a row at noonball and you werent expected to, ahh on second thought you never won three in a row.
  7. Poeple are overlooking one contender that could pull off the biggest upset in Reginal history...Fairview. I would take my chances with Barker on a college floor at Morehead and let him run all night long. They have had several close games with all the Big Regional Contenders. 5-7 point games or less. They can play and may have one of the best coaching staffs in Regional. Cooksey is a master mind of X's and O's and does anyone remember the last coach to take two different teams form the 16th Region to the State Tourney. He sat under Crum as an assistant for years and Crum played for WHO? Coach Wooden...I do believe Hall knows a little bit about the game.
  8. Hey, I am rooting for the Lady Rams to go all the way. Coach Trimble has done an outstanding job with them. Give him a 5 year opportunity to build a feeder system and he will have a little dynasty down there.
  9. You are right about the Ref's not costing RH the game but the cold harsh reality of the truth is this...Brit Faulkner is a target, call it conspiracy or call it a joke, she gets hammered by calls that the officials do not make on anyone else, and it only happens in this region. I am not defending her as a person or a baller, all that I am saying what happened two-three years ago At another school that is very political...Ashla I mean Russe well they are both alike) is still haunting her. It is not right and it is not fair to her, RH and the 16th Regional fans to see her sit b/c of phanthom fouls being called on her. If she would let a stink in the Locker room at half time there would be some ref there to blow the whistle and call an Intentional Blatant passing of Gas Foul. If she fouls then blow the whistle but they anticipate her every move, she is a kid, give her a break. What goes around comes around. They called her for carrying the ball last night and she over re-acted and was assessed a Technical Foul (She deserved the T for running her mouth) but my goodness look at all the other players from RH and Raceland that carried the ball when they dribbled, not to pick on Seals but she carried 3-4 times in the open court and nothing was called. You are right that the Ref's didnt cost RH the game but they sure didnt call it both ways either. Some think that this is just in the minds of RH'ers but when RH plays out of this Region the calls are very different. Gearheart is probably the best Ref we have, that being said, the other male Refs ought to stand up and take notice and learn from the Ex-West Carter Phenom. This is FP (frustrated Post) so deal with it or have the Ref Frat club that meets between Fairview and Raceland blow some more phanthom calls against Faulkner
  10. Finally someone to bring balance to this discussion, thanks SB:thumb:
  11. How can you comment on something you didnt see, oh yeah I forgot...this is an open forum...there Himmelfarb, the abuse has shifted to Bogeyman. Bogeyman...scratch golfer or do you pick your nose alot....Himmelfarb he now has been abused, you can thank me later.
  12. spell check not working, but you can figure it out
  13. I think alot of posts last night was FP's (Frustration Posts) and you were the lucky guy chosen for the bombardment...sorry about that, I feel we share many of the same views and philosphy as stated above in this post.
  14. You left out the most important player from last year...uhhh she is playing at Louisville...Kala Faulkner
  15. Good game plan by Raceland coaching staff and the team executed it very well.
  16. Just wondering, but do you think maybe the idea was to have the PG try to get the ball to the both big girls underneath via the wing not just a chance at one since every time Laura touched the ball she was swarmed?Hence, my screenname, i would have liked to have seen more rebounding by RH. Not enough second chances.
  17. the post by 2 cents could be said of every type of sports team. good post!
  18. :thumb:   :ylsuper: I'm jumpin on the Raceland bandwagon.... for now anyway. Good luck to a fine group of young ladies:D
  19. That would be nice, and I wouldnt do it for the stats, do it to show to the players and coaches unless they already have someone filming games. Maybe the players would see how they play in spurts, you cannot win games playing in spurts:thumb: , dont take offense to any of this. This is just some opinions.
  20. I am not disputing the stats with you, it just seemed that with those stats RH should have won. I just dont recall seeing that many steals and assists as a team, not saying they werent there, I just dont remember RH stealing the ball that many times and sure dont remember all those assists, once again I am not saying that your stats are inaccurate, I just didnt see what you did apparently.
  21. Look, now I am going to have to stay neutral on the Hatfield and McCoy, oops I mean Himmelfarb and Walrus feud. You will not see a better player than Emily Queen.
  22. I must say Himmelfarb I usually agree with your post but on this one I am in agreement with Walrus. You state that the ball was taken out of the hands of the senior leadership, excuse me if I am mistaken but it is hard to run the PG position after you foul out of a ballgame. Gambill 0 turnovers from the PG position. Dont put this loss on some kids that only played a few minutes. The other Senior was getting Shaq'd every time she touched the ball. Until this team decides to play like a team then they are not going very far in the post season.
  23. Agreed with the most of your post, but IMO the leadership is a little lacking, let me say it like it is. If the coaching staff is having a meltdown or a lack of preparation then these two top players can take matters into their own hands on and off the court. If they see they are getting doubled then make someone else step up and play, change the offense, change the defense in the middle of the game. It may sound difficult to do but all great players have done it at some point in their careers and made the coaches look like Wooden. Ask any good player if they have changed something in the middle of the game without permission and I would guess they did, this isnt dissing the coach and it is not a lack of respect for the caoch, but why run a play when you have an opening. Why continue in a man to man defense when it is killing you. Great players are Great Coaches on the Court. Not everything is the coaching staff's fault or the Referees fault. How many minutes did Gambill and Hammonds play? 2-4 minutes combined at the most. The younger players didnt cost RH the game, lack of intensity and NO, NO defense. Rams played a great game but Vanderhoof couldnt make it up the court tonight, and the Rams had way too many wide open looks, wide open threes and back door wide open layups. In a loss, everyone is to blame from the Coaches, to the Players to the Water boys. Bottom line RH didnt show up, this was not a case of the better team winning (NO offense to Coach Trimble and Lady Rams they played great) but No One in the Region should come close to RH girls. Leadership, Attitude, Hustle, Defense did not happen til late in the game. From an Outsiders popint of view and just my humble opinion, it seems that some of the seniors are sidetracked, not really focus until the game starts, you cannot win without mental preparation. They probably over looked the Lady Rams. I am now rambling time for me to go...
