Clark Co. traveled tonight to face 40th district opponent, Bourbon Co. Clark wins 9-0 and completes district play with a 6-0 record and secures the number one seed for the district tourney later this month. Clark Co. runs their 2007 season record to 22-1.

Clark Co. also honored several of the George Rogers Clark faculty tonight by introducing selected teachers and faculty members with the starting players before the game. They also joined the players on the field for the playing of the National Anthem. Long time high school trainer, Terry Decapio, threw out the first pitch and was also selected as the outstanding faculty member. It was a nice ceremony, and very classy by the Clark Co. coaches to take the opportunity to recognize the contributions of the faculty and staff at GRC, to the baseball team's success. :thumb:

Clark Co. wins 9-0 in Winchester over 10th region opponent Mason Co. It looked like the game would get rained out, but the weather held off. Clark runs its' 2007 season record to 21-1. Clark plays their next game at Estill Co. against former 40th district opponent Thursday at 5pm in Estill Co.

Clark Co. traveled to Montgomery Co. tonight to face the Indians in a 40th district game. Clark Co. won the contest 10-3. Montgomery Co. hosts the 40th district tourney and also the 10th region tourney this year. They have obviously put in a lot of time on field work. It looked nice and should be a good place to play the 2007 tournaments. My compliments to the Indian players, coaches, fans and supporters.

Clark Co. wins 2-1 in a very well played game. Both pitchers threw great games, and each teams' defense made great plays to keep it a tight game to the end. This was the final game played in the Ernie Evans Tourney. One game of the Winchester tourney was played on Friday night and the rest on Saturday. Clark Co. extends it's 2007 season record to 19-1.

Clark Co. traveled to Woodford Co. tonight, with the final score 6-0. Clark Co. is now 17-1 in the 2007 season. Next up is the Ernie Evans Tourney at Clark Co. this weekend with Hazard, Campbell Co.and Anderson Co. Should be some really good games.

Clark Co. defeats Nicholas Co. 12-2 in (5) innings with the game played at Nicholas Co. Clark Co. 2007 record is 15-1 on the season.

It was a nice tourney, and we really enjoyed our time in the Paintsville area. It takes alot of effort on many folks to pull off a tourney like that. Thanks for a Good Job with the Tourney!!! We had some time between games to drive out to Paintsville lake, what a treasure!! The lake was beautiful, we will be back after baseball season!! It is worth the drive.. thumb:

On Saturday morning purchase the Ledger Independent newspaper to find a front page article with details of the 10th region Tournament celebration party already scheduled by Mason Co fans. 75 cents On Sunday morning drive 1 ½ hours to Mason Co. gym and arrive three hours before tip off to purchase two half court tickets for 10th region Tournament Finals. $10.00 On Sunday evening leave Mason Co. gym with both nets and Clark Co. as the 10th Region Champions!!! PRICELESS…… :thumb:

I attended three of the four sessions of games at Mason for the regional tourney, (only missed Mason and Mont. game). The only time the Mason gym was close to full was for the championship game. Montgomery's gym could easily handle the crowds up to the championship game. Give Mont. Co. a chance to host the region tourney!!! :thumb:

:thumb: I agree with the driving distance from Clark, it was nice to play Sat and Sunday afternoon games. GO CARDS...Great Team Win!!! What a super way for the Clark Co. seniors to finish their high school basketball careers, they go to RUPP!!!!

Thanks Gold for talking about the postive things that many of the Clark Co players are doing instead getting caught up in the negative speculations. The team is comprised of a good group of young men that are under the microscope called Ky basketball. Go Cards and keep playing hard!:thumb:

The Clark Co. team played some of the best team ball offensively they have played for several games. Lots of heart and determination, just came up a little short at the end. Would love to see the replay on the blocking call with 8 seconds left, sure was a questionable call. When it is a seesaw battle in that close of a game, anything can happen at the end. But still have to love the efforts of the players that dressed and played in the game. Keep up the good teamwork guys!!!:thumb: :thumb:
