Clark Co. traveled to Montgomery Co. tonight to face the Indians in a 40th district game. Clark Co. won the contest 10-3.

 

Montgomery Co. hosts the 40th district tourney and also the 10th region tourney this year. They have obviously put in a lot of time on field work. It looked nice and should be a good place to play the 2007 tournaments. My compliments to the Indian players, coaches, fans and supporters.

GRC won 10-3 in 7 innings. Jeremy Greene was the starting pitcher and went 6 innings. Cody Christopher pitched the 7th inning. Another good district win for Clark Co. Hope to have more stats later today.

GRC next game is Mason Co.

Clark collected nine hits and broke the game open with a four-run outburst in the third. Jordan Barker had the big hit of the inning with a single that scored two runs. Evan Bennett and Josh Wood led the Cards’ attack with two hits each, with Josh Wood driving in a pair of runs. Jeremy Greene started for the Cards and pitched six innings before giving way to Cody Christopher in the seventh.

Also wanted to add that Jeremy Greene had 11 K's against Montgomery and threw a 3 hitter.

Clark is definitely the team to beat this year in the 10th Region IMO.
