Probably the Johnson brothers. Don't think Holmes will have a "true" point guard but will have a host of players who can start the offense. On a side note I think it helps the Johnson brothers out for the next level for scouts to see they can run the point.

I hope your right but with all the press and talk Elliott has received it seems they are a lock to win it. If you don't believe it just ask the computer generated polls that have them, along with Scott Co., as best in the state by a wider margin than they should be considering that the #1 team in the human voted polls (Holmes) beat Scott Co. already and avenged their only loss with a 18 point win. The point I'm trying to make I just don't know if the computer generated polls are as accurate as they should be, if so Elliott cuts down the nets!

Largo was a quality team. If they were in KY they would be a top 20 if not top 10 team in the state. Quickness reminded me alot of Ballard.

Would Rupp have been the coach he was if KY had not had talent? Would John Wooden been considered a great coach if UCLA had not had all of the talent they have had? You can be a good coach without talent but you will never be considered a great coach if you do not have "talent". You can know the game and teach players all you know it, but if they don't have the talent you'll never win the big game and what measuring stick do people use to determine if your a great coach - W's and Championships. P.S. - who do most teams look to to find new coaches when a vacancy occurs? Assistants from championship teams. Just look at all the Pitino disciples who have went on to become Head Coaches.

Good article, but not the first time a KY team has gotten press from USA Today. Back in 1983 tiny little Carlisle Co. was featured on the front page of same paper. Comets went on to state runner-up title with triple overtime loss on a tip in at the buzzer by Henry Clay. Carlisle was lead by one of their stars Coach David Henley of Holmes who Elliott may have to go through if they want to become state champs.
