  1. No Problem. Did Carroll County have a scrimage Friday Night? How do they look this year?
  2. Florence threw Henson first touchdown pass of the game in 3rd quarter, looked like the Wildcats were waiting for the lights to come on. Lusby had a nice endzone run. Henson also intercepted one and returned it to the 1 yard line. Sophmore Carlton had nice pass to Miles for touchdown, Brown and Maddox had nice catches, Junior- Carlton and Senior- Brown had great runs. Nunn,Lusby,LeGrande,Carlton,Sophmore-Brown and Henson worked hard on defense. Florence struggled with coverage. Gallatin has some work to do, but will be fine.
  3. If the anderson kid comes from conner that may be the big man they need.
  4. For a new program (2nd year varsity - 3rd season overall) Gallatin County has two seniors that have exceptionally good hands. TE Henson and RB/WR Brown are both capable of putting up big numbers. The only question with them is if the QB will have enough time to throw the ball.
  5. Florence better be mobile because he likely will be running for his life in the backfield.
  6. Well the summer basketball season for Gallatin County's Wildcats has been very successful. After seeing this team play, I think they will be better than last years team. They will definitely be a force in the 8th again this year, and should make it back to Richmond in the All 'A' for the 3rd straight year.
  7. It is a coaching job at the HS level, where pay is virtually meaningless based upon the hours put into it. If a person thinks he has better opps somewhere else, wish him luck. If he later recants the decision, open him back. I am not going to cast stones at someone else's decisions. This is not brain surgery where people actually may die if a dr. decides not to operate after telling someone they would.
  8. Henson and Brown from Gallatin County had great seasons last year for the school's first season. Looking for big things from the two of them this year.
  9. 'Originally Posted by Italian Stallion No way. Cody is a good player but not good enought to play at Georgetown. They are one of the best NAIA programs in the nation year in and year out. He will play college basketball somewhere but not at Georgetown.' Your quote, which I pasted in this message is judgmental in my opinion. There were many good players in the 8th region this past year. SK had a few of them. Gallatin had a few, Owen one, Walton one, Shelby had a few, Oldham Co had a few. Throw them all together and they would make a pretty good team that would rival any other region's all star team. That said, CP at Gallatin earned his way there the same as all the others. Walk on or not... at least he made it and they are paying for his education.
  10. I am sure Gallatin kids don't want to be reminded of the thrashing they got from Trimble County on the gridiron last year. Hopefully, the Cats will be a little more competition to the Raiders when we play later this fall.
  11. Hard to believe that another 8th region team could get a kid into a nice program like Gtown? Guess all the talent wasn't at SK afterall. Good luck to Cody!!
  12. Congrats to the Wildcats on the two in a row... Keep it up!
  13. TE/WR David Henson is another good receiver they have and has prooven versatile in lining up as a blocker for Carlton and Maines in the backfield. He seems to run good routes, which helps get him open down field when he is ligned up as WR. Defensively, LB Hunter LeGrand is the heart and soul. He led the team in tackles last season.
  14. I saw them in a 4-3 and 4-4 quite often, even when they were getting beat in it, they stuck to it.
  15. Without the class A, then some of these kids that play in it never get to know what a great thing a big tournament is. Most of the small schools never make it to the region tournament and have little hope of ever playing in Rupp. Just wondering how you would fix this problem for a small school view point if not something like the Class A tourney?
  16. I was there for most of the game tonight. I was surprised that SK let the dragons stay close to them. Hats off to the South Oldham team, they gave it all they had and just came up short tonight. All in all, though, this is the matchup for the semi finals that the Gallatin fans have been wanting to see. Glad to see that it will happen on a neutral floor with everything at stake. Let it begin....:thumb:
  17. Congrats to the GC Wildcats!!! Superb effort tonight by all... Look out SK, I think the Wildcats are ready to get it on.... Congrats again to the Wildcats.:jump: :jump:
  18. Not sure you can say SK is the best in the 8th since Shelby beat them last week. They are definitely a top 3 team in the 8th if they are not the top dog though.
  19. No I have not seen them play in the regular season. I saw them at NKU this summer, but that is summer ball. Everybody was rusty then. I am not saying Hester isn't a good player... he is very good. From my point of view, Neeley is the best player in the region... because he has does not have another threat like Hurd or Elbert to play with him.
