  1. Hopefully Amanda is going to be fine. I'll keep her in my prayers.
  2. I agree TBG, Neeley is by far the best player in the 8th region... even with a healthy Hester from SK.:thumb: Hester has weapons to help him out so the other team can not key on just him. Neeley is pretty much doing it by his lonesome and once in a while, he gets a little help from the others on his team. Not taking anything from Hester, he is a nice player, but Neeley has my vote.
  3. I agree with you Yoda. :thumb: Having witnessed it as a coach myself, as a father of a player, and as a referee. There is no way that all AAU coaches are intersetd in developing solid fundamental basketball skills. AAu is more on teh standout skills than on the team first concept.
  4. Two bad these two could not meet for the district finals. It is a shame to send one of them home early. Go Cats!
  5. Gallatin County IMO is still going to be the team to beat in the All A 8th next year. They have 5 solid players coming back, all with much varsity experience, and all of them have started this season in varsity level at one time or other. It is generally a matchup situation that puts one or the other of them on the bench from starting any given game. No disrepect to any of the other teams, but I imagine they all will have a tough time against the Cats next year.
  6. Gallatin County won from the 8th region. :dancingpa: They could go deep in this tournament with the talent they have. Good luck Cats. Go get them in Richmond...:jump:
  7. Give the credit for the T/O's to Gallatin's D. Gallatin smothered the inside after the first quarter and completely took that away, leaving them to shoot from the outside. Plus, once the Cats started pressuring the ball up the floor in the 2nd quarter - game over!
  8. In your clarification 'Team A possessed'. If they had possession, then it was a correct call if they crossed the line. However, Mack is right. Possession is lost while the ball is in flight. Team A player batting a ball into the back court even when Team A last had possession and retrieved in the backcourt by team A players does not constitute a violation.
  9. I think if Walton plays a good game and can keep Neely to about 20 points for Owen, they can pull off a surprise and beat Owen. Neely is a special player, and likely will get his 20 or so, but if they can hold the rest of the team in check, they can win.
  10. I heard that also! Go Raiders! Maybe TrueBlueandGold will give us an update when the game is over.:thumb:
  11. Guess that is settled, Gallatin won big beating Emminence by 20+ on their home floor! Go Cats:ylsuper:
  12. I guess every school gets there chance to host the All A, but this place is horrible. Poles every so many feet that you can't help but have an obstructed view. And what's with them ushering folks out the gym between games so they can charge you another gate fee to watch the 2nd game? Do the other schools that host these tournaments do this as well, or is it just Emminence?
  13. Gallatin should win this regional and advance to Richmond. Again. Go Cats!
  14. Somehow, Spilly, I get the impression that you think all refs are questionable! Just remember that the coach at any school has little input on who refs a game. It is assigned from the region office. I think a coach can scratch maybe 2 officials from his games at home during any one season.
  15. Personally I think the Gallatin kids are going to destroy these weaker teams in the Class A Regionals. As for getting over the hump, they are over it. You think that there is any other 8th region class A school that could have played with Shelby like they did? Your dreaming. :flame:
  16. I agree. Gallatin seems to be moving the ball much better now than they did earlier in the season. Hopefully, Edmonson gets his legs in shape so that some of those 3's fall in late in the game.:jump:
  17. I agree... If Gallatin is rolling they are tough to beat. It will be a tough draw for the Cats, but coach Jones will get the boys ready for the tournament.
  18. Hey FarBeyondDriven, is that a picture of Dime Bag Darrel used as your Avatar? I like it...good choice
  19. Edmonson is a nice addition to what was already a strong team. Last years Cats team only lost one player from a Conference Champs team, District Champs team, and All A 8th Region Champs team. Edmonson will undoubtedly help this team a lot with his athleticism, but they were strong enough and good enough to win district and conference again.:ylsuper:
  20. Congrats to the Wildcats on winning the tournament. They looked really tough tonight against Owen County. Congrats again to Coach Jones. Go Cats, and good luck in Phoenix.
  21. Pretty balanced scoring for the Cats from what I saw, though Brown, Carlton, and Henson played well.
