  1. Idiot kicker!!! I'm not surprised at all by this. I knew in the off season the Cowboys had made a mistake. He might be the most accurate kicker in history, but IMO he's never been a clutch kicker. He acted like missing the kick against the Steelers was no big deal. He didn't even act like it bothered him. IMO he tanked it. I mean, has he ever missed a kick that bad? Especially indoors on a good snap and hold? I haven't been impressed with him for a long time.
  2. So people who are not athletes can give somebody the finger. But if you're an athlete and do, you have to pay out the wazoo?
  3. That's funny, I found an article from April that said that Brazil opened a new off shore oil rig that would produce 1.9 million barrels a day, just more than they use and they could start to export oil. That doesn't sound like they're trying to reduce it to me. Incase you're wondering, it's from the BBC, so I'd say it's pretty reliable. As far as you saying Bush didn't have anything to do with the oil prices, you did say something about our leaders being oil men. In a way, that's what you are saying, about them controlling prices. It's supply and demand. According to the Bush haters, he doesn't want to find an alternate source, so he keeps the demand up. Therefore the prices are going to be up. (this sounded better when I thought of it. But I wasn't at my computer then and I forgot what I thought. But that'll work for now.)
  4. W was in the Coast Guard. It might not be a huge deal, but at least he didn't leave the country. And just incase you don't know, we're talking about Clinton.
  5. I googled Jimmy "The Greek." Gees people, I was 9 years old when he got fired. But yeah, what he said is very close to what Irvin said.
  6. Did you all hear about Irvin signing with the Bears??? They got rid of the Refridgerator and got a Coke Machine.
  7. I think I pretty much agree with what you say here. I haven't given it a great deal of thought, but I think that's about right. Let me take it one step further, Adam and Eve were tempted in the garden by satan, not God. It was something that they knew was wrong and did it anyway. It's kind of like stealing or whatever. But being tested, I think, would be like you said. It's something to see how our strong our faith is in a time of tribulation.
  8. I don't know who Jimmy "The Greek" is, but does anybody think what Jon Rocker said compares to this? I don't think he said anything racial, just about a person's "preference." He might have said racial remarks, I just don't remember any. Also, do you think he got hit so hard because he said it about NYC? Like, if he had said it about....Nashville, that nobody would've raised as much fuss? But since he said it about NYC "the city that does no wrong," it hit the fan? Just a thought.
  9. I also said that Rush got blasted for what he said. If memory serves me correctly, he said something along the line of "the media loves Donovan McNabb because he's a black QB" or something like that.
  10. When he played, he was my favorite. But enough is enough. I agree with the writer of the column, although he didn't come out and say it. If it had been a white person saying that, he'd be fired probably. I mean, look what happened to Rush Limbaugh for saying stuff about McNabb because he's black. It goes to show that just because an athlete retired, not all of them are cut out to be announcers.
  11. What two parties are you talking about? Republicans and Democrats or the USA and the Muslims?
  12. Get over it with blaming Bush for the gas prices. He has NOTHING to do with them. He can't tell the oil companies to lower their prices anymore than he can tell Dell to lower the price of their laptops. Nobody is making you use oil. Need gas, get a bike. Grocery prices killing you, raise your own animals. Stop blaming him for every little thing that you don't like, that was going on way before he ever got in office. And I doubt that any country is oil free. Especially Brazil. They have cars right? Then they have to use it. Maybe they don't import it, but that doesn't mean they're oil free.
  13. Like I said before, McGwire hit 49 homers his first full season. He hit 217 over his first 6 seasons. That wasn't done with 'roids. He didn't need to get bigger in order to have big numbers. He was hitting a lot of homers before he got big. And besides, like I said earlier, HE DIDN'T BREAK ANY RULES!!! There was nothing in the rules about using performance enhancers in '98. If we start questioning whether or not he used them, then we should go back through history and start to question whether or not Ruth used them, since he hit more homers in one year than most of the teams combined for. How do we know he didn't do something? How do we know he didn't cork his bat? After all, his bat was huge compared to even today's biggest sluggers. I don't think you can keep him out just on speculation that he did something that wasn't even illegal.
  14. Maybe. I don't know the exact way it works. But I do know that it's not as simple as Bush saying "lower the prices" as many people would have you believe. I think he gets a lot of unjust criticizism over gas prices.
  15. Oh. He should've went to Oxford, then he would be garaunteed the presidency.
  16. Lazy jab = buzzing flies to me. I would love to have a huskersprep.com to talk all things Huskers. But it doesn't exist, so we have to stick with BGP.
  17. I don't know if you do or not. But I wasn't aware that Limbaugh wasn't. I only get to hear him about 1 every two months due to my work. So I didn't know. Nevermind then.
  18. I don't really agree with what you said. I'm not a fan of war in general. I do support this war though. And the reason is this: my theory is that if you don't like the war, that's probably because you didn't live in Iraq and have to deal with Hussein. Show me somebody that says he wasn't a horrible person that tortured his people and didn't need to be taken out of power, and I'll show you somebody that probably should be in the crazy house. We have to stick out noses in other people's business because that's what we've been doing for almost as long as the country has been around. In the past, countries have looked to us to help them. I feel that we are helping the citizens of Iraq by freeing them. Who doesn't want to be free? If your freedom was taken away, you'd be crying for somebody to come and help us. It is unfortunate that some soldiers are dying over there. But I haven't heard but maybe one or two that say we shouldn't be there. The "free" health care and prescriptions that you talked about in other countries, if I'm not mistaken, and I don't think that I am, that stuff is paid for by the government, as you said. However, where do you think the government gets the money from??? Higher taxes. So sure, we could have the government pay that stuff here, but just as soon as they raise taxes to pay for it, everybody will complain about having to pay them. So then they do away with the free stuff and people will complain because we don't have it. Of course I'd like to have free prescriptions and all that. But I enjoy getting 2/3 of my paycheck with 1/3 going to taxes as opposed to getting 1/3 and 2/3 for taxes. You mentioned you hope the Democrats end the war and get us liked again. I would like to be liked. But it's not going to happen, even if the war ended. We weren't liked before the war. Why do you think 9/11 happened? We weren't in the war then. But this is not a popularity contest. Things need to be done to make the world a better place and I applaud President Bush for having the courage to at least attempt it. Maybe he's made some bad choices, but at least he was trying. Which is more than I can say for our last president.
  19. I don't see blaming President Bush over high gas prices. It's not his doing. If anybody were to control gas prices it would be Congress. And just because Bush was/is an oil man doesn't mean much. Clinton was a lawyer right? So why doesn't everybody blame him for lawyers charging so much? If Exxon can make a $400 billion profit, they can lower the prices to say like $1.75 and make a $300 billion profit. But they won't. That to me says gas companies. Just a thought.
  20. I wouldn't mind to see them get elected. I just don't want to see Billary in the White House again. Would anybody vote for Rush Limbaugh? I think I would.
  21. Yep. Nothing on Google for huskerpreps.com. I thought this was a college forum, which meant ANYTHING college. I guess that means no more Michigan, OSU, USC, Florida or any other university talk.
  22. I couldn't agree more. But don't be so quick to downplay Wake. This might be the start of a good thing there. But then again, it might not be. Come August I'll either agree with you or disagree even more, based on how they look before the season.
  23. About McGwire, I'd vote him in, in a heartbeat. He would either be #2 or #3 on my list with Ripken being #1 and Gwynn being whichever one McGwire wasn't. As for the whole 'roids issue, let me ask this: what did he do that was illegal? If I'm not mistaken, there's no rule, especially 10 years ago, that made 'roids illegal. Granted, they're morally wrong, but not illegal. And besides, didn't he hit like 49 homers his rookie year? He was about as big around as a baseball bat, yet still crushed the ball. So it's not like he "had" to have them.
  24. I, too, have thought Pink was pretty hott for some time now. Although this isn't the best she's ever looked. I think her video "Just Like A Pill" was very hot!!!!
