I'm glad that a NKY person said that. Many times Rock fans get accused of being hillbillies that are so far in the mountains that we don't get any sunlight. Most of that comes from NKY fans. At least it has in the past. Question, what college did your son go to?

If I understand it correctly, the offensive player can stiff arm to the mask but if they start turning the defensive players head or dragging them to the ground with it, then it's an offensive penalty. But I could be wrong on that. I, too, used to wonder how that was possible.

Could have to do with what LexCath did last week. I know that rarely does a previous game affect an upcoming game. But I think most people would agree that CovCath wouldn't let LexCath off the hook like last week. If CovCath was ahead 34-7 at halftime, or whatever the score was, you could pretty well bet the farm on it. But I've seen stranger things in my day.

My appologies for any personal attacks. If you had read some other threads that I've discussed in, you would see why I had to defend myself in such a way. But I think you missed the point of your own post. First, you said that if Mason had blocked better on the FG, Rock wouldn't have blocked it and Mason would've won. (or something along those lines.) But as I stated to you, Rock didn't block it. The kicker fell down due to the muddy field. It went over the line, but was well short of the goal posts. Then you came back and talked about the length of the FG. The length wasn't a problem. I watched the kicker in warm ups and it was well within his range. But no kicker can kick that far laying on his backside.

I saw that too. I was surprised. Maybe that should use that "flubber" stuff from the Absent Minded Professor movie. Then they can kick like 90 yard field goals.

Ok, well as the guy was telling us this, perhaps it had already happened and he was recapping it. The way he told it, he said there was like 2 minutes left and then he told us about the fumble and the TE streak down the middle of the field to tie the game. I guess I misunderstood at what point of the game these plays took place. Thank you for explaining it in a rational fashion.

What are you smoking? Do you even have a clue? Last year Rock could've stayed on the sidelines on the last second FG attempt and he STILL would've missed it. You know why? Because he fell down when he planted his foot. It's not because we blocked it and they had horrible blocking. We didn't touch the ball. And it was like a 35-40 yard FG. That's not exactly a gimme anyway.

Ummm.....what post did you read, because I didn't say anything that you responded to, almost rudely I might add. For one, if you read CLOSELY, I asked a question which means that I don't know. As for the 3 hour bus ride. It shouldn't hurt us. We've done it many times before. In fact, we rode 4 hours to play your coach and Sheldon Clark and we came away with that one. So the bus ride is a mute point.

Yeah, one of our fans was talking to a scout at the game and getting play by play. So I know most of what happened late. Granted, JC did score the 2 tds to win. But would you not agree that had Ashland not fumbled you probably wouldn't have scored twice, and maybe not have even scored at all? I mean, had they not fumbled, they might have scored to put the game away. Just a thought.

I'm not going to argue what you said. HOWEVER, I must ask, wasn't Ashland ahead 21-14 with just a couple of minutes left and fumbled while trying to run out the clock? That's what I heard.

You're wanting to look at the first game of the year? You really think it would 2-0 if they played now? Our QB had never started a game at QB before. He had been a WR until this year. And Dusty Miller got injured in the first game of last year and missed the rest of the season. Both of them took awhile to get things going.

Who is talking about SOS? That ship has sailed. That was way earlier today. Anyway, you want to know about our kicker? You really want to know? I don't think you'll believe me, because I didn't believe when I was actually seeing it with my own eyes. Our kicker is none other than Brad Durham. Yes, that Brad Durham. He can kick from about 40 or so and is pretty good. Probably like 70% or so. I know that's not great. But considering he's a 300 pound lineman, I'd say it's pretty good.

Sorry, I misspoke. I didn't mean won the region. I meant having a better record and a higher seed.

Let me throw this question in the mix. A co-worker of mine lives in Somerset and his kids go to Southwestern. I, as you can tell, am from Rockcastle. Let's examine the games that these two teams play this coming weekend. Southwestern hosts Central. Central won the region and had a better district record. Yet the game is at Southwestern, which would imply the lower seed is getting home field. Rockcastle on the other hand finished second in the region behind Johnson Central, yet Johnson Central is getting home field. Why is the lower seed getting home field in one region, but the higher seed is getting it in the other region? Does this have to do with the blind draw that several have made reference to?

Yes, he certainly is a character. I haven't watched as many Bell games as you, but I've seen enough. I, too, was amazed that there wasn't even a warning or anything. And to think, in the Bell thread, people accused us of getting help from the refs. I thought Bobby Knight was at Texas Tech coaching basketball. I didn't know he coached Bell football. That's what his performance reminded me of.

Yes, it was a no call. An incomplete pass. It was a bang-bang play and the officials thought it was a clean play. Shawn Childress was trying to intercept it and the WR hit him just as much as he hit the WR. At this point, Coach Hilton threw a tantrum on the sideline like I've never seen at a football game before. It was almost comical.

Oh no doubt. I don't blame them. I just don't like that they focused on the one play and not the two plays that could've went against them that wasn't called. (QB over the line of scrimmage, and Shawn's TD reception)

Exactly. I posted the same idea on the Bell thread. But you know how it is. They were convinced it was defensive.

3Wishes, You watched the film from the Bell Co game last week. Let me ask you, in your honest opinion, was it pass interference? I know this is the wrong thread, but I want to know what you have to say.
