The call wasn't made from the bench, I'm 95% sure of that. I just think he panicked and thought we were down and acted on instinct...

I forgot to mention that, Mason couldn't but a free throw in the first half! And for the life of me, don't know why we fouled tied with 1 minute to go. Jaylen must of thought we were down, only explanation. Even that isn't a good one though. :ohbrother:

A few observations from last night... GRC better learn how to hold onto a lead and close a game out before next year. SHOT SELECTION. When every player on your team is a head taller than who they are being guarded by, punch it inside. I have never, and still don't, like Bart Lennox. He blew the goaltending call. 2 points was huge in that game. Other than that, I believe the game was called about as well and even as you could ask for. Gilbert and Lang were the heroes. Gilbert made tough shots all night long and we apparently didn't want to guard Lang any. That being said, the game shouldn't have been that close for it to matter. Every time you thought GRC was about to pull away Mason made a little run to bring it back within striking distance. When you let a well coached team hang around till the end, well you see what happened. On a neutral court, I think GRC wins 8 out of 10. Great atmosphere last night btw. I would rank it definitely above Montgomery Co. but NKU's facilities are way better and I put the two about even. Last night was one of those two times Mason wins though. In a one and done scenario at the Fieldhouse, Mason has a shot at beating anybody. They made the plays needed to win and they got it done. Congrats to them! To GRC, get back to work. Keep improving and give it your best next year. Develop a couple guards along with a few more guys for the bench and we'll be tough again. It will be nice to have Bopper Stenzel back healthy for next year. Hopefully we can all stay healthy and try and make it a special season. :thumb: Mason Co, good luck at state. Represent the 10th well, I'll be there not necessarily wearing blue :lol: but cheering you on.

He came with GRC graduate Andrew Rogers who is now a trainer/assistant something for the UK men's basketball team. Others were with them as well, just don't know who they were besides Darius.

Just got home... haven't read the thread and won't until the morning because I'm too exhausted. I wanted to get on here though and eat my full meal of crow though like I said I would. Mason was able to stay in the game throughout the first 3 quarters and made just enough plays to win them the game. Lang was huge from 3 point land. I'll get on here tomorrow, read through the thread, and offer my views on the game and turning points which lead to me being totally stunned. Congrats Royals on another region crown and I hope you represent the 10th well in the State Tournament next week.

Wow, that isn't even close. Those refs should be ashamed of themselves and shouldn't be allowed to ref another high school game again! :madman:

BBA is a joke. Everybody praises Lennox for being one of the best too, and well I just don't see it. If he's known as the best of the group... that should tell you something. :sssh: I have seen some very well called games though so not all refs are a lost cause!

Oh I'm not doubting you, I'm doubting your sources... Who would turn down pre selling tickets when the other team is doing it and they are the team hosting? :lol: If true, it's a dumb move.

GRC will keep on keeping on after a poor performance today. GRC by 10+.

Shot clock needed. Nothing crazy like a 24 sec in the NBA but maybe a 45 sec would do just fine. If a team can't get a show up in 45 seconds they have some problems... And no watching and using stall ball is not a fun thing, and it usually never works. :thumb:

GRC by 10-15. I don't believe anybody will stop GRC, they are on a mission.

I do agree that comment shouldn't have been made, especially publicly and some credit should have been given to Montgomery for the game plan... but in all likelihood what he said isn't false.
