That would depend on the new district. Not always the case. County school may decide that they only need one elementary, one middle, and one high. I guess since I'm from a town with 100 kids in the high school I could see the point in a school being around. By closing a school, you usually end up dealing with a large empty building in the town. I guess it depends on what side you are on.

Monticello still has a school in the city. I think there are several schools in Monticello. There's a difference if you have no school in the city.
