  1. Here local refs call games harder against the home team. I think it is either to overcompensate for the home field advantage, or to keep ones for thinking that they are pulling for their old team. I think that you can have a local ref if they are unbias. But if not then it's not good for either team. But that is just my opinion. TRAMPLE the WEAK and HURDLE the DEAD.
  2. I feel that it will be a close game. Romans is a good player but Estill can handle him. Estill's inside game has improved 10 fold since the last time these two teams faced each other. There is no home court advantage it'll be "play with what you brought". But to win Estill has to have the 3's, get Romans in foul trouble and defend the perimeter. I'll have to go with an upset. Estill by 4. :dancingpa
  3. I've known Coach Mills for about 20 yrs now, as a player and coach. I cant think of a more motivated individual that could have took the position than him. I've seen what the weight room looked liked before he was there and after and saw the gleam of a future in his eyes and voice. But when you go to Berea you, as a coach, have the cards stacked against you because it seems that the admin doesnt want a solid tradition which has to be built but instead they want instant "w's" in the left collumn. I know the community because of immediate family. The admin needs to wake up and quit releasing coaches faster than they can hire them. "Rome wasn't built in a day". Good luck to Coach Mills. Let us here at Estill know where you end up.
  4. I'll let you all know after Dec 07. lol Just be thankful that you have the opportunity to be able to wear a ring. Next year we'll be able to explain who will pay for ours.:dancingpa :dancingpa
  5. Central will end the Patriot post season. Good luck Indains.
  6. Sorry Tall Trees but Danville will turn up the heat a little more this week.:flame:
  7. The only poblem I see with the playoff schedule is at you can loose every district game in one particular district ie. 2A Reg 2 District 4 and still make the playoffs. While on the other hand go 3-4 in an eight team district and go to the house and listen to the playoffs on the radio. No disrespect intended to the teams in 2A Region 2 District 4. Its not your fault the KHSAA cant get teams only an hour and a half to play in that district instead of travelling 2 hours to another. KHSAA is the one to blame. I have one word for that problem POLITICS. Anyone to add you veiws: the floor is open. Someone please shed some light.
  8. I'm kinda partial to the BLUE and WHITE of Estill Co.
  9. Estill had seven seniors and Powell had eleven I think. Estill didnt have a Jv schedule this year cause we started 8 soph on offense or defense every game. I know that at least 6 went both ways every game this year. But we are getting older every day.
  10. Big rival seems like emotions run high in both sides. Estill by at least seven. Good luck NEERS. TRAMPLE THE WEAK AND HURDLE THE DEAD
  11. There has to be a tie in my memory. 1st taking on lead blocks and runs from Chris Hogan, Mike Gentry, Ted Fouser 1988 Woodford Co . 2nd 1988 against Lincoln Co. Hauled off in the meat wagon. AAA competition in the 80's were tough.:fight: :fight: :fight: :fight:
  12. I'm going out on a limb. Estill by 7. Trample The Weak And Hurdle The Dead :fight: :flame: :fight::flame: :fight: :flame: :fight:
