Come on...... Clay #2...... I just don't see it based on one loss.

Both teams played very strong defense. Clay's shots were not falling at all. I think they hit 8 of 48 shots. But it was a great tourney for the Lady Tigers. I think the girls had a blast in Daytona.

I predict Clay by 11. Good Luck Girls!

The South girl who plays JV and came from Clay County is Kendra Davidson. Whitney Smith's Mom used to work for Clay County, but she now works for the Laurel County Board of Ed. as a teacher.

I was there tonight, and I was very impressed by the Lady Tigers. I expected a much closer game.

13th goes to Clay County who's been undefeated in regional play.

Clay County girls won by 14 tonight. Phillips was player of the game with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Roberts and Paige Jackson had 13 points each.

I pick Clay by 20.

I was appalled at the officiating during the Clay-Lex Cath game. There were numerous occasions when a Clay player was thrown to the ground right in front of a ref. I'm not one for crying over the calls, but this one was terrible. I am very proud of our girls and feel that if this game were played on a neutral court, say at Bowling Green (ha ha), the results would have been much different. This game proves that Clay can play with high caliber teams. I'm excited to see how the rest of the season pans out!

Clay Co. had an off night against Jackson.

I think that Clay County will continue their domination of the 13th for some time. Their Middle School teams have won the state titles for several years. I'm looking forward to seeing how the younger crop of Lady Tigers matures into a powerhouse.

Freshman Jordan Phillips pulled down 12 rebounds and scored 6 points in this win.

I think that Clay County is going to have a very strong team this year. I look for the younger players to take on a lot of the load that Gilbert shouldered.

Scores for the Semi's and Final were: Rockcastle 0, Corbin 2: 16-25 & 22-25 Whitley 0, Clay County 2: 19-25 & 15-25 Clay County 0, Corbin 2: 23-25 & 25-13 The first Clay-Corbin game was pretty close, but Clay lost their momentum against a strong Corbin team. Congrats Corbin & Good Luck!

I would certainly agree that the development of volleyball is way behind that of other schools. I'm very new to the sport. My sister is a freshman at Clay County this year and is playing varsity. She'd never picked up a volleyball prior to the beginning of this season. Volleyball definitely needs more exposure in Southeastern Kentucky!
