The Lady Tigers were in the championship game. Does anyone know the result?

The Lady Tigers lost to a very good James Madison team from Virgina, 33-23. They got behind early and never could catch up. Their shots wouldn't fall and to many turnovers. Good Tournament though with good competition and they went 3 and 1. Sarah Burchell, Whitney Jackson, amd Gemma Gray made the All Tourn. Team and Gemma was Clay's MVP. This Tournament will only make these girls better. Good Luck Lady Tigers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this team ranked nationally or in the top 20 in Virginia? I looked on the USA today rankings and didn't see them in the national top 25. Wow, 23 pts. and 33 pts. is super low. Were both teams deliberate or just excellent defense?

Both teams played very strong defense. Clay's shots were not falling at all. I think they hit 8 of 48 shots. But it was a great tourney for the Lady Tigers. I think the girls had a blast in Daytona.

The James Madison girl's team was ranked #6 in Virginia according to the parents who were with the team. They were a great team. They had scored 101 points in their first game in the Sunshine Classic, 80 points in their second game, and sixty points in their third game. Clay Co. played some good defense to limit the championship game to 33 points for them.
