  1. I am a huge UK fan, but I think we all know the Cards will be a different team when they get those two back. It's just the nature of the beast, UK fans taking shots at UL fans. You gotta love it!
  2. This is such a refreshing look compared to last years team. No more me-first selfisness on this team. They are actually a good basketball TEAM. The freshman looked great, Bradely didn't take to many bad shoots, and Morris will be a beast down low if he can stay out of foul trouble. All in all the Cats did play a NAIA school which they should beat by atleast 25 points and they end up beating them by 40. We couldn't beat a high school team by 40 last year. j/k  I was really impressed with the Cats last night, they all played hard and I really enjoyed watching them. Could be a really good season.
  3. I agree with you on that, which further proves my point that Ainge wasn't a great player.
  4. And I'll simply put it this way: Jordan made Pippen. Bird, McHale, and Parrish made Ainge. It's the same type of situation as Pippen, Ainge was a good player on a great team. Bottom Line.
  5. Thank you for making my point for me. Ainge's place on this team was not to score 20 a night but to be a ROLE PLAYER. IMO no role player is an outstanding player just a good player. Ainge may have been a great ROLE PLAYER, scoring 10 a night, getting some rebounds and some assists. But, he was no where as important or as good as the 3 you mentioned in the above qoute.
  6. I agree, it's ashame that we still have a blind draw to decide who we play in the first round of the district. It takes all of the meaning out of the regular season district games. Many teams won't even throw their best pitcher during those games so the other team can't get a good look at him until district tournament time.
  7. Firebird, I know you are pretty knowledgeable win it comes to the Eagle baseball team, what do you think?
  8. After making it to the KHSAA final four in 2004, JC has been beat in the first round of the district tournament two years in a row. I am a big JC supporter and I was wondering everyone's thoughts on JC's chance of success for this upcoming season. I know baseball is still a long time away but I miss talking about it. I also know JC has a lot of talent coming back along with two of the top pithcer's in the 15th returing in Matt Fyffe and Justin Blanton. Any thoughts???
  9. Why can't both men's and women's teams be good. Just because the women's team is ranked higher in the preseason poll's then the men doesn't mean anything is wrong with the men's teams it mean's the women's team is really good. And these are just preseason polls... if I remember correctly the men's team was ranked as high as #7 in some preseason polls last year. And we all know how that worked out for us.
  10. He was being used the wrong way in Tubby's system but that still doesn't take away the fact that he was selfish. Also Morris's situation had nothing to do with how Rondo should have approached games. Bottom line he quit after his freshman year. At least Morris had the guts to come back and play hard after he made a fool of himself.
  11. Nothing spells average like 11.5 ppg. He was a great floor leader and teammate just not a great player, good but not great.
  12. I think he will be a much better NBA player then he was in college but if he doesn't learn to shoot any better than a 4th grade girl (no offense to 4th grade girls) then he will never be extremly successful.
  13. I agree with you on that, he is a much better fit in an NBA system then he would have been in any system at any school at the college level.
  14. Rondo is one of the most impressive raw talents to every come through Kentucky. The problem is he is also one of the most selfish. He packed it up after his freshman year and could have cared less how the team faired during his second year. Rondo could have been one of the greatest... he just didn't have the heart to play hard on every possesion during his soph. year. I wish him the best in the ego-filled, me first NBA... he should fit in perfectly.
  15. I wish the kid luck and hope he signs with a major D1A school. If he has a 40 time in the 4.4 range I don't see why he wouldn't be a major D1 recruit.
  16. I was trying to have a little fun with you to lighten the mood a little bit, guess it kinda backfired on me... sorry if I offended you in anyway.
  17. ^ I was just joking with ya so please don't take it the wrong way. I think we all should watch what we enjoy most. If it is the football game, so be it, if it is the basketball game then great. We shouldn't be argueing over what we would rather watch.
  18. I guess they didn't teach you how this saying really goes at you big "commuter school"... The saying actually goes like this, "the price of eggs in China". I'm a huge UK basketball fan so I couldn't resist.
  19. Couldn't agree with you more Frances. :thumb:
  20. This should be a great game. SC-24 P-Burg-21
