  1. Sorry for being off the thread, I wasn't trying to start any trouble. My apologies.
  2. I don't know about cruel but I do know something that is funny. You are dogging a 10-0 JC team when you have a GCHS Lions helmet for you avatar... hmmm. what was their record this year? You might want to chose you battles a little more wisely.
  3. Johnson Central has a tough road and will play the teams already mentioned. Boyd, Ashland or Mason, Rock or Bell, Highlands or CovCath, most likely Bowling Green. That will be a tough road.
  4. I think this will be the most competitive first round game in the state on Friday.
  5. Hope so, would love to see the Eagles get to Papa Johns and bring home a state championship.
  6. 1A: Bardstown 2A: Mercer Co. 3A: Johnson Central (homer pick) 4A: Male
  7. Polls and rankings are all hogwash. From the AP to the Lit to the Massey. None of them are very accurate, they just give you an idea of some of the teams that are the top teams. I was just stating my opioin of why JC should be ranked that high. Of course JC would have a tough time beating Highlands, CovCatch, or BG, but I think all of these teams would have a hard time beating JC also that's why it is hard to carve a team's name in stone at the top of these polls. I'm not trying to say JC is the top dog in 3A I don't care if they were the #1 team in the state with all of the classes included. I don't put much faith in rankings so I really don't care where JC is ranked in the AP poll. The only thing that matters is how they perform on the field starting this Friday night.
  8. I'm not putting the teams in order from best to worst record. I just said I think JC should be in front of Highlands because they have a much better record. Whats wrong with that?
  9. Agree with you 100%, it really is ashame that we have drawn those regions over the past few years.
  10. Actually I'm not saying they are a better team than Highlands, I don't know if they are a better team than Highlands. Just because I think they should be ranked higher in the polls based solely on their better record doesn't mean I think they are better, I haven't seen Highlands play this year. But who's to say if JC did play Highlands schedule they wouldn't have a better record than 6-4. And your right if both teams are good enough to get to the fourth round of the playoffs we will see who is better.
  11. As it should be there goal for every game. As long as the Lions play as hard as the can for 4 quarters they will have nothing to be ashamed of no matter what the final score is.
  12. I agree with you somewhat 94 Camel... I can see putting Cov Cath at #2 with them coming off a big win at Highlands but I don't think the Bluebirds should be ranked ahead of JC also. I'm not saying JC is a better team than Highlands I'm just saying I don't see how a 6-4 team could be ranked higher in the polls than a 10-0 team. And before everyone starts I understand Highlands played a killer schedule and JC played a weak schedule but c'mon JC has handly beat everyone they were scheduled to play... what more could they have done this year? And, I'm not saying you are bashing JC with your opinoin of having Highlands and CovCath above them.
  13. I'm not sure Rambler which night the game is to be played on... if I see anything for sure I will let you know.
  14. It might be a mild upset but either way you look at it if we get that far, a regional championship game vs. Rock or Bell would be a really tough game.
  15. Everyone at Johnson Central dresses varisty for every game although the number of freshman that see much playing time is very small.
  16. Two good teams, season on the line, at a great venue such as Putnam Stadium... man this will be a great game to watch.
  17. Yea, I know you guys here it a lot from the Ashland faithful but if you look at it from the big picture all of us in Kentucky hear it from the rest of the U.S.A, so I guess we are all the same. BTW, the Lions have made some big steps in improving there football team I look for them to make some noise in the near future. :thumb:
  18. No, your statement about us coming out of the hills wasn't disrespectful at all... didn't realize Boyd Co. was such a happening place, geez I hope one day I can visit there.
  19. IMO the best first round game in the state hands down.
  20. No actually I think you might have hit this game right on the money. Just havin a little bit of fun with ya don't take it the wrong way.
  21. I think they have a small chance of winning it all but a chance at that. We all know that the NKY teams and Bowling Green would be a big step up from anyone they would play in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs.
  22. I think he is just saying that if JC gets that far that they will be able to be competitve vs. the NKY schools. I don't think he is saying JC has the regional championship wrapped up. :thumb:
  23. Yea you were the one that picked Mason to beat JC by 35... you prediction was only about 75 points off, but hey at least you had fun with it.
  24. JC keeps rollin in this one and is able to rest the starters pretty much the whole second half. JC- 49 Boyd- 6
