I agree with you totally... Highlands is a top notch football program and they could score 100 points on ALOT of teams if they wanted to. Don't worry about earlier no harm was done, I understand why it would get frustrating if a lot of people accused Highlands of running it up. :thumb:

Ashland may very well come down and beat the Eagles at home... but I would bet the farm on it that they don't beat them by 3 touchdowns.

I wasn't whinning or crying, this is actually the first I have ever heard about this happening, I don't keep up with NKY football that much... I was just asking a simple question. Sorry if it rubbed ya the wrong way.

That would be a good idea. Another idea JC might want to consider is having some sort of temporary bleachers brought in for this game. I believe for this game we could fill the whole bleachers with just JC fans, with temporary bleachers that would give JC fans more places to sit along with giving the Ashland fans more seating. I have heard this brought up a couple of times for games such as the Apple Bowl, I wonder if they would ever do that for a game of this magnitude.

I agree with you on that... JC defense is much approved form last years and the defense last year was nothing to complain about. If the Eagles come out and handle business the way they can they should come out with a win.:thumb:

How often does Highlands do this? I know they are working on things that they may need to use in a close game but seems they could work on that during practice not when they are already up 28-0. No disrespect to Highlands or their coaching staff, just wondering how often this has happened and how the other teams react?

If JC runs the ball the way they are capable of and keeps the "time of possesion" in their favor then Ashland will have a tough time pulling this one out at the friendly confines of "The Nest". This game will be electric and a lot of emotion will be shown from both team's players and fans... we must remember if us JC supporters have been waiting this long for this game to roll around again just think how bad Matney and the Golden Eagles want this one. I agree with you totally on JC not being able to beat Bell or Rock and that's even if JC gets that far. They could possibly get ousted again in the first round... I hope not but it is a possibility. But is JC does meet with Rock or Bell which will happen if they get to the regional championship I think it would be a great game against either on of those teams.

In another thread we were discussing the best highschool football/basketball player ever in Kentucky... Of course Tim Couch's name came up a lot and deservedly so. But my question is Tim Couch the biggest bust/flop ever in the NFL? IMO being a #1 pick and having the career Couch did only compares to the outlandish Brian Bosworth... but I still think Couch top's the list. Your thoughts.

I disagree with you on your last statement... I don't think to be considered as good as some of our fans think we are we have to give Highlands or Cov Cath. a battle. To be considered succesful JC doesn't have to turn into a Highlands and win a state championship every year. Just because we cheer on our team and our excited about the year we are having this season doesn't mean we think we are the cream of the crop in 3A football. Heck, Highlands and Cov Cath would beat any 4A school besides the big 3. Not saying JC wouldn't or couldn't beat Highlands or Cov Cath, I just don't think succes should be measured by whether or not you beat Highlands or Cov Cath... Westsider your team must have some pretty high standards if that's how you measure success.

I don't think many people have ever shyed away from the fact that JC has played a weak schedule so far and that they still have a question mark by their name. I haven't, JC has the next two game to either shut people up and gain respect or fold like they have before and make the critics voices louder.

Have to agree with on that one... another funny thing with his stats, it says he is averaging 254.6 ypg but only 1 touchdown. :confused: Not likely!!!

Brohm could end up being the best quarterback ever to come out of the state of Kentucky after it is all said and done... but as far as him being considered one of the best football/basketball player's ever in the state I just don't see it. I actually saw him basketball a few times he was more of a "big body" than impact player, IMO.
