That could be... here's my take on it. I don't think Coach worries about his passing game. I think what he is concentrating on mostly is his line play. Believe it or not, with all the impressive numbers, Mercer has still not executed the run game to his satisfaction. They are getting close, but until they do, that is what he will concentrate on leveling up in my opinion. Which by the way means very little...

They work on their passing game on a DAILY basis. It is a large part of their practice. They have thrown for over 1000 yards and 14 TD's dating back to last year. Not big numbers for a balanced offense, but more than respectable for a run oriented scheme. So that part of their game is there when they need it....they just haven't needed it so much this year. I agree they WILL need it deep in the playoffs.

Yes..actually there have been a couple of games dating back to last year, where there were no passes. "Jaggerstyle"....right down a defenses throat.

Let me explain my earlier post, as it looks as though I am playing down Mercers offense. I think I failed to get my point across which is a positive one. 600+ yards of rushing against a decent Lloyd defense is not exactly an "off" night. They were explosive again. However, to be honest, Mercer lost 3 fumbles alone in the red zone. My point is.... The offense hasn't peaked yet. The line is improving every game. Walker is getting back to last years form. I don't think we have seen their best yet. When it all clicks into place.......wow.

I have checked and rechecked and I can wholeheartedly and without a doubt report that there has been a group of players with a uniform different than Mercer's at every place Mercer has been scheduled to play this year. So YES there has indeed been competition 9 different times this year.

Not shocked at all. Lafayette is quietly the best team in Lex.

You had to ask that....:argue: Not a really sharp offensive night for Mercer. Too many missed blocks, fumbles, and timing was off in the backfield. Another good job by the defense though.

Oh, and just a side note. Mercer considers Lloyd a quality opponent, and rightly so. This will be a good game.

Danville gets a quality opponent. They get sharp and focused and they get the W. Danville 34 Frankfort 14

Casey has a couple of special players. They can be a handful, and if last weeks game with Garrard is any indication, can legitimately be expected to beat some pretty good teams.

Both of them would have to go to the locker room and sit in time out until they could promise to play nice.
