Those are amazing distances for a high school kicker... where is he going to College? Good luck to both CovCath and LexCath... it would be nice to see a regular season game between the two of them now that the number of district games are greatly reduced.

I've read your posts before.... is it always the fault of the man in stripes? It was a great High School football game, and it would be even greater if the rivalry continues -- it is really getting to be a great one between Lex Cath and Franklin County and even though they will now be in different districts it would be a shame if they didn't continue to schedule each other.

In this year's Lexington "We're Playing for Pride Bowl", Bryan Station will walk out with their pride the least bruised and win by 13 (27-14) as Dunbar pulls the perfect "0-fer" season. Sorry Dawgs there is always baseball seaon.

Well said RockPride... the truth can hurt... lots of talent on that Henry Clay team through the years, especially at the skill positions. Is it the lack of fundamental football discipline which keeps HC from achieving to the highest level? Or possibly, the lack of developmental leagues in the Bluegrass region to teach these kids the fundamentals of blocking and tackling at a young age, thus, there is often a lot of remedial work that the coaches have to take on at the high school level ... maybe this topic is best left for another thread.

Maybe all of the pre-game gassers that the kids had to run explains their lack of emotion during the game. Could it be that they were too tired, or were they just pouting?! It's a fine line that a coach walks when trying to discipline his team without pushing a bunch of boys in the opposite direction. Surely it wasn't mutiny... or was it?

I wonder if the parents would have a 'sit down' with the principal and superintendent if the Chemistry, Biology, Calculus or English classes weren't meeting their expectations...
