  1. Yes, you are right about that but not because Clay will have any better district record than southern. The fact is they should both end up 3 and 3 and the way Clay will go to playoffs in the tie breaker is because of that EASY schedule they played half the season that everyone talked about. Those games with Evarts and Estill and Knotts, they picked up only a win or two on their likewise easy schedule , but gave Clay some points for the tie breaker. But Southern didn't have a gravy schedule, and played teams like Brethitt Co and North Laurel. I won't respond any more to this thread with your sarcasm. However, will be watching those scores of Clay county defeats the next two weeks.
  2. Madison Southern's Zach McGuire (Junior) did a great job as QB against Clay County . He was 20 of 27 passing for 327 yards, 3 passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdowns and scored a 2 pt conversion. He had some rushing yards but not sure how many.
  3. And the last win for Clay this season.
  4. not like this one. It was the same when they played rockastle and then it was called a hog lot. They even let another game go on on their field Thurs night in the rain when they already had all the mud. Oh well.
  5. Southern pretty much beat themselves with some turnovers at critical times, like a fumble on Clays 15 yard line which resulted in Clay getting the ball and scoring. What a mess of a field at Clay co, the field had no grass and was just a mud hole. Worst field conditions we've seen in the last 8 years of high school football!!
  6. did that Clay county field ever get in any better shape than what was talked about a couple weeks ago, with all kinds of comments about it being like a hog lot and Rock fans saying it was the worst field they had ever seen.??? They do play Southern on that clay field this Friday.
  7. No way Knox is going to beat Bell. I don't think the score will be close at all!! But, we'll see on Friday!
  8. I think it will be a fairly close scoring game, and Clay will have the advantage of their home field, BUT.... Madison Southern 34 Clay county 28
  9. I think Southern will beat Clay County anyway.
  10. so three wishes, are you thinking that if Clay beats Southern, and it's a 3 way tie, that with the opponents wins(according to those numbers you said were correctfrom hasbeen), then it would be knox and clay to playoffs?????
  11. three wishes, can you or someone that knows explain this tie breaker better? If southern beats clay, then there wouldn't be a tie (if southen beats perrry which they should and bell beats clay), it would be southern and knox for two playoff spots. But if Clay beats Southern (and gets beat by Bell) and Southern beats perry, then clay, knox and southern would all be 3 and 3. What does knott and cawood have to do with it?
  12. Madison Southern beat Letcher County a lot worse than Clay did. Madison Southern beat Knox Central, who beat Clay County. The score was even worse from Rockastle beating Clay than Southern. Oh yeah, Clay will have their known home advantage for sure, but Madison Southern will prevail by at least 2 touchdowns.
  13. Knox Central hasn't played Bell or Rockastle yet. But Madison Southern should beat Clay county next week,(then Clay would get beat by Bell) then would it be Madison Southern and Knox Central (and Bell and rock ) to playoffs?
  14. Clay isn't likely to win anymore games. They will get beat by madison southern and bell county, their next two district games. I guess that's why they loaded up on easy teams at the beginning of the season.
  15. Madison Southern will be coming off their break week and had to play their last couple games with injuries to several key players, who I have heard are well now. They are ready to play Rockastle.
  16. Knox Central will get the win by about 12.
  17. Oh yeah I agree with you. I was being sarcastic saying they had to get the stats ! Because it looks like they had to be playing like this to get high stats for some players but I agree there is no reason to do another team that way. There are other KIDS playing on the other team and I'm sure they were feeling pretty low to have someone run up numbers on them like Clay did.
  18. Unreal to run the score that high; but gotta get those stats!
  19. Clay can put up all the stats they want with their easy schedule so far, but they will get beat BAD by Rockastle tomorrow night and I'm not even a Rockastle fan!
  20. Madison Southern for the win...35 Bell co. 21
  21. Madison Southern will win this one. Madison Southern 35 Knox Central 21
  22. Zac McGuire (6'1'', 189 lbs., Junior), was 13 for 16 passing for 330 yards and 6 touchdowns to lead his team to a win.
  23. Just meaning...someone did post to consider the whole state and several names have been mentioned. Just adding another touchdown leader for comparison.
  24. then what is it about.... most touchdowns..... uhh.... yeh
