I read a rule recently that said it is illegal for a runner to hurdle a defender and the same day I seen this enforced in a Cali high school game. Is it also illegal for a defender to hurdle a lineman for instance on a field goal try? Just wondering if I read the rule right because I see runners hurdle defenders quite a bit but this was the first time I had ever seen it enforced.

Well when I was in high school about 20 years ago I was the first man down the field on a punt(I was on the kicking team) that was about to go into the endzone I dove around the 1 yard line and batted it back from the goal line and was penalized 15 yards for Batting the ball is there a such thing?

I have another Question....Is there such a thing where as an official can say that's not my call or can they call anything from where ever? For instance the Line Judge calling pass interference 15 yards down field or the Back Judge calling holding on the center? Was just wondering if they had a certain territory? Thanks

Clay will suprise alot of teams this year... Knox has suprised me but in the wrong way, they have alot of talent but seems as if they don't have alot of team....

That may be the first time I didn't feel good about going into halftime with a lead. After just about dominating the first half LC score with 3:00 to go in the half to make it 13-0. LC kicked the ball into the endzone then Harlan drove 80 yards in about 1:45 absolutley gashing the LC defense for about 15 yards a play. I thought ut-oh we have woke up a sleeping giant but LC came back out in the second half and played real well. I'm not sure of the stats but I think LC held link under a 100 yards rushing which would be his lowest outing of the year. Harlan doesen't have a bad team and I hope they get back playing like they did in the last drive of the first half......Good luck Dragons

I thought once the punter had kicked the ball and re-established himself ( both feet on the ground) you could hit him. At what point can you block the punter after a punt? Does anyone have the actual rule or know where I could find it online?

Was wondering if anyone could post the rule for roughing the kicker? When are you allowed to hit the punter as far as rugby style? Is there a point he loses his protection? Thanks...
