6A Championship: Trinity/Male
Nothing snide Trinity Alum, just meant to be funny. I hope you guys win. I have coached several of the Trinity players in grade school and wish them nothing but success and the best. Do not get me wrong, I am not a fan, I HATE LOSING TO TRINITY, but I can get past all the rivalry and cheer for those guys.

Highlands vs. Trinity State Championships
The topic of this thread is not how impressive Highlands is or is not, it is "how many titles would they have in the great football state of OH in their appropriate classes". We all know how many of you here on Bluegrasspreps.com thinks how impressive Highlands football is, but that is not the topic of every thread.:irked:

Highlands vs. Trinity State Championships
I am not saying Highlands could not win occasionally against higher level competition as they have consistently done in the past by scheduling such schools. However, if you put them against tough competition in their class year end and year out, I do not feel they would fair so well in their class in Ohio.

KHSAA web site lacking...
They actually do provide alot of information, but I agree, it is difficult to navigate.

Highlands vs. Trinity State Championships
Back to the thread topic...........I believe Highlands would have never won a championship in Ohio, maybe one at the most. I believe Trinity would be a dominant force especially in recent history so I will say ten. Highlands plays mediocre competition in their class in Kentucky, thus the 19 soon to be 20 championships. Trinity has played the best competion available in Kentucky due to their classification and is so dominant and progressive under Coach Beatty, they would have faired well in Ohio.

6A Championship: Trinity/Male
Keep Trinity's offense off the field. Dominate the time of possession by eating up as much clock as possible and scoring a touchdown and extra point each drive. No turnovers. Get turnovers and turn them into points. Oh yeah and no turnovers. Did I say keep Trinity's offence off the field.

6A Championship: Trinity/Male
It is rumored that Coach Beatty has been seen in the maternity ward twice at the local Catholic hospitals and once undercover at one of th Public hospitals. How mayny players will Male be bring to the game? I do not know how many players Trinity will be bringing to the game, but I do know how many it will take.

Highlands vs. Trinity State Championships
It is a good thing that St. Xaveir is in the same class with Trintiy or otherwise Trinity would rule the world. Highlands is very lucky to be in such a lower class as not to play the best year in and year out.

Highlands vs. Trinity State Championships
I went back and looked at every year Highlands has won a state championship. I compared Trinity and St. Xavier to Highlands in those years and given all the facts, if all three were in the same class, Highlands would have zero championships. Plenty of room in all areas for all. But what do I know. I think football should be treated the same as basketball as far as alignments.

6A: Trinity/Ryle Predictions
The Raiders will show up and be ready. http://www.ryleraiderfootball.blogspot.com/ One of my favorite things in the world is high school football and going on the road in the playoffs. Entering the opponents stadium as a fan or player and feeling that almost undescribable feeling you get. The intensity, the excitement, the adrenaline rush as you feel the eyes of the packed house on your team. You are the advesary, the enemy, the invaider, entering thier house to snatch from them what could have been.

6A: Trinity/Ryle Predictions
And hence, the best Trinity Shamrock team ever only to be surpassed by next years team.
-
"Ryle is just the next in line for stepping in deep doo-doo."
It sounds like Ryle has there best team ever ready to face the Shamrocks at home. They are facing the best Trinity team ever only to be surpassed by next years team. It is great to see the best play the best. I do not know about stepping in do-do, but I do not see the Shamrocks being the team from Louisville to end the football domination held on to by Louisville schools that so many despise.

How does Trinity guard against a letdown?
Davids have beaten Goliaths. Never say Never but........ Here is the perfect storm scenario I have seen this year: Trinity loses the 2009 State Championship to St. Xavier which reinvigorated Coach Beatty and the Shamrocks from any complaicency or resting on their laurels they may have experienced from the 2005 - 2008 run. This combined with the best Trinity squaud ever to suit up for the Shamrocks only to be surpassed by next years squad and you have the perfect storm.

Question for X fans and faithful
CentreRocks I am not saying St. Xavier does not also encourage the best athletes from all over to come to their school, it is just another area that Trinity is doing better at than St. Xavier. It is not just the coach's although who aid in this effort. It is the total communities of each program and the programs' success that aids in this area. It is one of the reasons St. Xavier and especially Trinity has done to distance themselves from other Jefferson County schools. With arguably some of the best talent in Jefferson County schools this year, St. Xavier nor Trinity in the end were even closely contested. St. Xavier as well as Trinity is open to all as I think you and I can both agree, but more than ever on both teams athletes from the other than traditional CSAA route to the schools is contributing greater and greater to the programs. Nothing wrong with this, it is just a changing demographic that I feel is improving both football teams and keeping them ahead of the competition.

Trinity 35 St. Xavier 7
What more could I have said? I have said from the beginning of the year that this is the best Trinity team ever only to be surpassed by next years team. I hate losing to Trinity. No....I HATE LOSING TO TRINITY!!!!! Enjoy your trip to Ryle. They were some of the best fans to come into Thomas More Paige Stadium last year. I was looking forward to paying them a visit.
