If Bell Plays with same intensity it did against Pineville the other night Bell will by 15. If they play like they did before the Pineville Game then Middlesboro could win by 15. Guys I am still having a hard time seeing Boyle's schedule as a superior one to Bell? Granted Lex Cath was good but the rest were average at best. The best of the rest would have to be Henry Clay who was not very good and missing a bunch of starters against Boyle. Someone explain how their schedule was better than Bell's? How did it prepare them more? I think some of it is smoke and mirrors. I see no Knox Central's, or maybe even any Rock's and for sure no Whitley's????? Not doubting they are a good team but they are not world beaters. Coach French has done a wonderful job of getting them to believe they are great but I don't see any great wins yet. They may get one Friday night but I don't think they have played any really good competition as to date.

The tarp was taking off Thursday night so they could paint the field. The snow was unexpected. We worked on the field from 9:30 that morning until about 2:00pm that afternoon. We hauled the snow off with a Rhino 4 wheeler between the hatches. The field was in good shape inside the hatches though.

It is suppose to rain or snow almost every day this week. I hope they keep the field covered like they have been doing.

Concerning Homers, Bell and Boyle both had more penalties than their opponets last week and they were both at home. I would say it is because they both are very agressive! Just an opinon!

How many times has Coach French faced Coach Hilton??? I know last year at Lincoln and then in 91 at Meade.

Hounds I thought you would taken a different persective after last night. It is very evident you haven't read the previous post on here from the many Bell fans praising Mills and the accomplishment of the Knox Central program. Why do you think you can get on this thread and constantly down grade Bell County, Hilton and our program and think the Bell County faithful are not going to retaliate against you and your program. I know most of the Bell County pollsters and they are connected closely to the program and most of them watch alot of film on opposing teams that Bell play. So, I would say their comments are plain and simple the facts/truth/the way it is. You seem to want to continue to dispute their word and turn their words into a negative comment against Bell when you don't have a clue about it. Oh BTW I have seen the film from the previous meeting of the two teams, it is very clear on the tape.

Contrary to what you think Campbellfield I have pulled for Corbin for Many years, except when they played Bell. I have had a cousin playing on Corbin's team for the past 4 years. Yes, your comment about coach Hilton was uncalled for. I know many of the kids on the Redhound team and my son has made some good friends with many of them over the years. I have attened a few Corbin games over the last 4 years to support my cousin, inturn means I supported the redhounds. I will be pulling for you because when we get to Louisville, I hope Corbin is there, because I am going to make you belly up at the concession stand and buy me a rootbeer!

3 wishes I am well aware of emotion and how easy it is to get wrapped up in a game like Rock and Bell. But don't even attempt to try to tell me that I didn't hear the Rock coach tell # 6 to take Merrick out. Yes, I agree some hits can seem to be dirty when really all it was/is kids playing hard. After reading Tom Landry's post today he reminded me of the same kid hitting Merrick late,in the back at Rockcastle this year during their first meeting. Then last night after I heard the Rock coach tell him to take him out, I knew it was intentional. In my previous post to paragrit, I was only stating the facts on the 2 personal foul calls on Bell. The first one was the wrong call, simply the ball was deflected and the Bell free saftey came over and hit the intended receiver, legal hit wrong call against Bell. The second one was the correct call against Bell. But the three personal foul penalties on Rock were correct calls. My point being that paragrit was making accusations that the officials cheated for Bell. How ironic this old game of football is. As I was discussing the game today with several Bobcat fans, it seems the hit the Bell free Safety put on the Rock kid was the same kid that tried to intentionally hurt Merrick. What is that old saying? what goes around comes around! The only difference was the Bell coaches didn't instruct their kids to hurt anyone.

Well, statman the reason they kicked the first one was because Rock returned the opening second half kickoff to the Bell 30 yard line, which in turn resulted in Rock's only score of the night. They were succesful on the first attempt and a personal foul on Rock for hitting the Bell kicker late after Bell's 4th touchdown gave Bell the ball on the 45 yard line. Quite simply a no brainer.The worst case would put Rock on their 30-35 yard line. If Bell was succesful and they were, then it would most definetly be lights out/fat lady singing. So it was not Bell trying to run the score up, it was quite simply the basic rules of coaching/playing football 101.

I understand your frustration papagrit but 2 personal fouls on Bell 2nd half. First one was called when Rockcastle threw a pass in the flats and was deflected and Bell's free saftey unloaded on him while ball was in the air, legal hit, wrong call by the official. The second one was stupid on the Bell kids behalf. But he was sent to the sideline. Rock had at least 3 personal fouls that were just simply intentional and meant to hurt Bell kids. I sure would hate to see Rock get the reputation that Knox has.

I am going to predict that Coach Mills and Company get ejected from this game if they stay out on the field like they did during their last meeting at Knox. Coach Mills is a great guy but is getting the repetation as a cry baby. 20 plus penalties last time these two met. Every time Bell had a big play, Knox coaching staff would charge the field and intimidate the officials and they would make a call against Bell, or make the wrong call. Don't get me wrong, Knox is much improved but the nonsense that went on a couple of months ago, wont be tolerated at the HILTON INN on Log Mtn. Bobcats 35-7, just because coach want put anymore than that on a former coach!

Rock really played Bell very hard and I have always had a great deal of respect for their program but tonight I overheard something on the chain crew that really disturbed me. One of the Rockcastle coaches directed one his players to take Bell's kicker, Monte merrick out on a extra point. I couldn't believe my ears, but yes he told his player to try to hurt him. That just isn't right, I don't care how you try to justify it. Very disapointing in a coach to intentionally try to hurt our kicker, or any player just because you are getting beat. I don't think coach Larkey would have put up with that and I don't think the Rockastle administration should either. I know what Coach Hilton would do! He would fire their tale. Congratulation to Rock on a good season but the coach that instructed a kid to hurt Monte should be fired!

Ya that is what you need to keep thinking. Bell is going to be awful the next few years.

Bell does cover the field if they call for any type of rain, regardless of what many pollsters have suggeted that Bell does to the field. The field was covered Monday and the tarp not removed until Thursday evening. The field was in good shape until the second half rains came Friday night. It still is in above average condition for this time of year.

KC on the road to try to get the 2nd playoff win in school history. I think they will find a way to get it done by the Half.
