  1. I am sorry that the Varsity lost. I still think they will get on track. Hey someone out there talk about that Ram JV last night all I got was that they won pretty big. Had two home runs and an end field home run. Is that true? Good job JV. Good luck to all our Ramblers on your next game.
  2. Great job for the Rams Varsity. Keep up the good work. I think the Rams are at home tonight with East while JV goes to East. I wish both teams good luck. Go Ramblers. Just an additional note I have the greatest respect for all the Ram coaches.
  3. Yes you do have a right to your opinion. Yes again I have questioned some plays at baseball, basketball, football etc. Didnt really get me anywhere i am not the coach. I have personally seen them put players in that have been picked off two and three times but they havent put anyone else in. I have questioned seniority doesnt always make a winning team. Greg Logan is an outstanding coach that has asked even some of my family to come down and play for him when he had a traveling team. My comments are about these boys read this stuff. Like it or not they do. They get down on theirselves they think the crowd is not behind them and we are. Since we are all going to get ourselves in trouble how about this one. How would you like to attend games where the first base or third base coach that is suppose to be calling plays or telling when to run is getting the kids picked off because his ear is hooked to a cell phone or the other coach is text messaging 24/7. Those are the things I get mad about. In order to have leadership in your team you have to show leadership. If those cell phones are the most important thing on the field that is just how the kids are going to feel. That said no more negativity on my part. Go Rams. Lets play some great baseball and keep the phones in the cars.
  4. ok, I cant stand it any longer. I can only be nice so long. Pickoff seems to have an extremely high opinion of Greg Logan. That is admirable so my suggestion which is also polite its to start a thread on the attributes of Greg Logan and how he has and is going to in the future improve Greenup Countys baseball teams. I think he would think it was nice and the Greenup fans would also appreciate it. Now as for our players, yes we have lacked at time leadership, overcome some obstacles, and I hope the seniors are proud of those younger guys playing that game while they were at prom. I think they played a good game. To my knowledge there has not been not one negative remark to the younger ones for that game. Next the crowd is getting right behind our boys there were sure plenty in the stands last night with our blankets cheering them on. Last but not least alot of those same boys play basketball or football. They treasure our Ram Tradition so when you start talking about a Ram you better be able to back it up. Our record stands for itself. Be a supporter or start a different thread.Support the team of your choice. Thats what BGP is all about. NO BASHING being positive.
  5. Thank you I must have got the information to soon. Always good to hear a Ram doesnt have a broken bone.
  6. I did hear some of the JV played well with the Varisty that were there. I think there was an injury. Broken bone belonging to Fritz.
  7. Hey was there a reason that the Independent of one of us for that matter didnt post we won the Varsity Pikeville game on Saturday. I know you Ram fans could be pointing at me but all I heard was that we won so I couldnt report on the correct score. Maybe someone could post a short thread of score and highlights of game. I know the seniors and some juniors were missed due to prom but the Rams pulled one out.
  8. Added to Raceland C. Thompson. I am not sure if anymore were added but more letters have gone out.
  9. The coach has made no comment to this press and I think we need to honor that. What can be said is there is no injury he is just off the team. It was sudden and I think the boys hasnt had time to rebound from it.
  10. I totally agree about the young players but in Coach Vanderhoof's opening talks he explains to the players that they are there to learn and win games. No one is guaranteed a position. Right now there is too much playing players because of their age. It is just an opinion. I think the seniors have more than lived up to their starting positions but the underclassmen might need another look to see if they are really living up to starting potential. I can see Martin,Reynolds,Carver,Wilson,Boyles but then it gets a little merky after that.
  11. I just think an old fashion regrouping will help the Rams come out of a slump. On a personal note again I dont believe in telling anyone how to coach and Coach Vanderhoof does an excellent job. I just am not understanding all the switching of positions. At this level trying people out here and there might belong down at JV. Its just an observance. Since I am on a roll there might be some fast outfielding that can come up from JV when the outfielders are pitching. I am not seeing the outfielders hustle on the Varsity level. I love my Rams and it was only observations. A pep talk is in order right now and we need to get back down to basics. Good luck tonight and lets play some true Ram baseball.
  12. i dont know exactly what happened tonight but after a phone call. Raceland was mercied in the 6th i believe aganist Greenup. The JV is playing a 5 inning game and is losing 1 to nothing. I do believe our Varsity is extremely talented and emotionally i think they need to regroup. Congratulation to Greenup on their win. Lets get back into the game Ramblers. We believe in you now believe in yourselves.
  13. I agree with Old Rambler on the discussion where was players. Coach Vanderhoof's no comment should be followed by all Ram fans. As of right now Raceland is taking on Greenup. Started out ahead and last report have fallen behind.
  14. Going to go with the Rams. They will be ready to play. They played some excellent ball in Cocoa Beach from what I was told and I think the first game back was working out the kinks. Go Rams!
  15. I certainly think you are right but the players that were invited deserve to be on that list. It is my hope after the season Raceland had and the fact of the boys you named making all area and all district get to share in this together. Congratulations to our three outstanding Rams that made it and we will keep our fingers crossed that more are invited to the list.
  16. Coach Vanderhoof said that Raceland has not been contacted yet about this game. This was as early as last week before the baseball team left. If letters have went out it hasnt made it to the Raceland players yet.
  17. I personally just hope he doesnt get injured. He has a great class of recruitments anxiously waiting to play football under his hand. If he gets hurt their out of a head coach. I do think its great that he got in there and did well. I always think that bodes well for the boys to see that their head coach can still play.
  18. I dont get it?:creepy: What was you hoping to see?
  19. I havent heard of anyone getting their letters. I didnt think they were coming out until April. Some players might not be able to make the game because of commitments with college or another sport etc. To my knowledge there has been no players on this end to get a letter.
  20. congratulations to three deserving rams. I wish the best for the entire team. I think that brings the total to one past ram Todd Joseph and four new rams. Work hard in the classroom and play hard on the field. GO Knights!
  21. Most of the time if you ask a member can give you a score.
  22. Old Rambler welcome back. I dont know if we are sick or just sick with spring fever. I was glad things went well. I think every successful year and graduating many that you start worrying but everyone that I have spoken with says its starting to click.
  23. I am goiong to agree with your prediction because you were bold enought to make it. I will add the prediction of a Russell thread saying why we are not. Hopefully Carver comes back from baseball season in good shape. Which I am sure he will and Denton stays on the road to recovery. I also want to aplogize. I am all about not leaving kids out on the BGP. You have opened my eyes to something. I dont think I have ever mentioned Cody Chinn out there planning. Solid player that could step up and do great thing.
  24. My bold prediction is a rocky start with a great ending. I think it will be a little rough at first and they will need to keep their heads held high and keep reaching for the pizza in the sky.
  25. Our line of seniors will be missed. I believe that Forrest,Thompson, Rogers, Caldwell will be sadly missed this year not only for playing ability but for leadership. I also think Grizzle, Mullins, Beach, Mckenzie, and the rest of the fourteen seniors will also be a void that will take time to replace. We however have some exciting new ability coming up. This years junior and some of the sophmores have also played together since JFL and although you could not see the impact in freshman and JV games that they can do when you put them together they can get the job done. Its going to take some hard work and determination and it will start clicking again like riding a bike. I wish the orange crush all success in the world this year. Its a great day to be a Ram.
