  1. KJ is one of the hardest working kids I have been around in all my years. I am so proud of KJ and his opportunity to continue his career. KWU just got a good one. Make us proud and don't ever forget to what got you here: hard work and a relentless pursuit of the ball. I would like to personally thank his mom and Dad for allowing me the opportunity to teach this great young man
  2. Senior Josh Rump will continue his playing career at Georgetown College. Josh signed yesterday in the school library. We are very proud of Josh and what he has accomplished here as a Brave and are sure he will contribute to the continued success of the Tigers. Congrats again # 62, and make us proud.
  3. I am sure a lot of people can say bads things about coaches that maybe they did not like or had a problem with personally. But hey you know all and like I said you stay loyal to Dudley that is fine, you can make it your personal glory to get on a public forum and blast coach Stepp behind a false name, that is fine. You know who I am and I have no problem stating coach Stepp is a great coach and will do a great job at Franklin, if you can't let it lie then keep on blasting pal. You can joke and make your comments all you want about Grant County, but my kids do fine and work their tails off for me no matter their record, so you want to take out your frustrations on me now go right ahead but because unlike you I am a bigger man and can handle it. I am done dealing with your incompetencies. I will not post anymore to you on this forum about Stepp. Have a nice day :sssh:
  4. A stadium does not make everything. Besides have you ever sat down and talk to Aaron, he is a very good football mind. He has done well as a head coach and did bring a district championship this year to Harrison. I wish coach Stepp and Frankllin County the best and can assure you if given the support, Stepp will produce at Franklin.
  5. Look you need to get over the fact that Aaron would not bow down to your beloved daddy Dudley like you do. He is a fine coach and will do well at Franklin, and things were not what they seemed at Harrison so he made the best move for him and his family and no one can fault the man for doing that. Remember your daddy left for a bit before coming back to Bell. I just wish you would get off his case or come out and tell him face to face what you think I am sure he would endulge that invite, instead of you hiding and blasting him from behind your great screne name.
  6. Grant County's 2nd annual Strongman Weight meet is Saturday March 21st at Grant Co. high school. For information contact head coach Mike Davis at 859-824-9739. they lift in three categories: bench, squat, power clean, they have 13 weight divisions.
  7. Look, you don't know everything that is going on. You get on a public forum and blast a dang good coach based on outside information. It seems that you may have some problem with Stepp, I don't know, but lets look at his record. He was at Berea for 4 years and then at Clay for 6 years. He left Clay to move his family toward central KY. He was promised a lot when he came to Harrison and now those promises are not coming true, I even here that they may be taking the head coaches extende pay which could result in a sunstanial amount of money. Now on the Franklin County side they are trying to ge the best coach possible for their program. All of the candidates are great coaches and people, but when it comes down to it they are going to get the best one for them. If that happens to be Aaron Stepp then they will have hired an excellent football mind and coach, and with the talent pool they have there he will be very successful there. If he stays at Harrison he will be successful there. The bottom line is, there is some business sense to this profession: If he gets the job he will have assistant coaches in the school building itself, he will have very nice facilities, and support from the administration to get the job done. As we all know as a caoch it is not just the money and in fact he may take a pay cut, but as a coach you would like to have the resources to be able to build and develop for a long time, that does not seem to be the case as far as the administration is concerned at Harrison. If Stepp gets the job he will put all his efforts into it and looking at his track record will be there for a long time, no matter the assumptions you want to make based on a one year deal at Harrison, which by the way won the district last year. remember what they say when you ASSUME things, we don't want that to happen so please and I mean PLEASE know all the facts before you post, so that when players, parents and whoever else gets on here and reads your comments are effected. Hope I have enlighten you a bit today and we will have to wait and see how it all plays out in the end.
  8. I will make it clear that I am against the June/July and the taking of the off week. We in my opinion have taken a step back in the so called movement that is to make KY a football state. I can tell you Ram and Leatherneck that very and I mean very few coaches were informed of the June/ July thing which I personally feel that the few spoke for the many and it was not to the best of All in football. You do not see any regulations like this being put on basketball. I feel we need to leave well enough alone or we are going to see ourselves go backwards instead of forwards
  9. Give it to Bert Richey, good basketball mind and could do a good job with bearcats
  10. What is wrong with Kraemer? Will he be able to play in the region? Great job by South
  11. At times maybe as a freshman I would have agreed but this year this kid has matured and just plays agressive. Your definition of overly agressive and mine are different. I believe Loomis plays hard, goes after every loose ball and plays lock down defense. Maybe you have experienced some of his play is why you feel the way you do but like I said in my previous post if you had 5 of him on the floor you would rarely lose.
  12. How would you describe it then. He is tenatious and has no quit in him no matter what. You should see him play football, the kid is amazing, if you had five Loomis on the floor you would rarely lose. So I am not sure what you are meaning by your comments.
  13. The braves played well tonight but not their best game. Stat of the game: 17 offensive boards and only 3 put backs. I also felt that Grant did not take advantage of their size inside, especially in the 2nd quarter when # 55 for Simon had to sit with 2 fouls. They gained only 2 points during that 31/2 to 4 minute stretch. Both Davis and Kinmon had size over their opponent but Grant did not pound the post. Another observation was that if you saw the game on Wednesday against Walton, Grant was not near as patient against Simon as they were against Walton, had alot of dribble drive and less ball movement as Wednesday. I hope they learn from the lost and get ready for region. The reality is you have to win 3 games to go to Rupp so you are going to have to play each night to win. This situation plays good actually for Grant, with South winning over North they will either play South, Henry vs. Owen winner who they have beat at least once this year or play Anderson who they played right with until the last 3 minutes of the game. Best of luck to all and I will say this the atomosphere last night will prepare both teams for the up coming region games.
  14. I do know him and I believe some schools may have contacted him but Aaron is happy at Harrison and he has not gone anywhere. He is busy getting ready to get the team ready for next year. I am sure that it is easy to talk about people on forum boards when you don't know all that is going on. I for one know that Aaron is not looking to leave and I personally think that it is not good to spread rumors especially when a lot of players get on here and read these things and they can get the wrong impression. Aaron will be at Harrison next year.
  15. Prince and Davis never got up off the bench in the 2nd half. Look like Grant went for more quickness in 2nd half which did get them back in the game but would have like to have seen what could have happened with them in especially when Reynolds and Burns were out of the game.
  16. Forget that, we don't need to make excuse we just have to get the job done. Snow did not have a thing to do with it. Your at home, somehow WV found a way to knock down 10 threes. Just have to go out and play Carroll tomorrow and get back on the winning side. I know this much, the braves do not need an early exit in the districts, they must produce this year, this team is too good for that.
  17. The rival is there from what I can tell. They play to high levels from each team in this game. Congrats to W-town for showing a lot of heart down the stretch. The Braves turned up the heat in the 3rd quarter and the performnce of Prince off the bench was huge. He hit some big threes, and played good defense. I would love to see him and Davis in the game at the same time, Prince's ability to hit the three and post up could cause some problems for teams that want to double down on Davis. I thought that Caleb kinmon played big on hte boards, it seemed like he got every rebound. Congrats to the Braves on the win but you have a big one on Tuesday. Let's get on a role to finish out the season, remember you have to play at W-town in district and you must be ready to take it to them for a third time.
  18. I will take Roark in a NY minute if NL does not want him. He is a great young coach and will be a good head coach one day. This is a huge mistake to let this young talent go. Come on up to Grant County good buddy and we will take care of you...
  19. Another feature game in the 8th region tonight. Anyone have any thoughts on how this one might turn out? I will say the braves by 6 points. The key has to be slowing down Dunlap, he is a very explosive player and when he gets hot can be dangerous. The braves must continue the formula they had on Tuesday against Shelby, good defense and ball movement. They must also make their free throws.
  20. I agree that racism is nothing more than ignorance and can happen both ways. Just to give you all a tid-bit from the technical and medical side of things. When you are born in the hospital you take on the mother's race not the fathers. So Duece, when a person says your half anything, you can tell them my mom is white and I am white, just like Obama, who's mom is white. But you can be and there is nothing wrong with being raised as an African- American and should be proud of your heritage no matter what your skin color is.
  21. I don't care where the money came from, it is just wrong. How can you promise change and then allow this to happen when people are losing their jobs, homes, etc. and not think you will get some backlash. In his speech he spoke of responsibilty and accountability, where is his at? I just hope that he has a better plan than to just hand money out and not help the people who are suffering in this country.
  22. Although they did lose the high powered offense in Euton and Jackson they also lost their center in Mike Davis, who is doing really well this year at Grant, and also lost their best three point shooter in Barber and graduated their point guard. This team has done wonders and will be a force in the years to come, congrats to the young Royals.
  23. Pelfrey may be one of the best if not the best in NKY as well as the 8th region. The kid can do it all. He will be used everywhere for the braves this year.
  24. Great win by the braves. The team played together tonight, good defense and should have won big if we hit the free throws. Nevertheless, the braves should be proud to beat a team like Shelby, they have a nice team. They also moved the ball well tonight, they saw the floor well and hit the gaps of the defense. Still good be a little more patient especially when we have a nice lead. Keep it up, another big game on Friday at Oldham, go back to work and get ready.
  25. Oh I do not believe in blaming refs for any game and agree SK played agreat game and Grant did not. Grant will be fine. The 32nd will be an interesting one. Braves will see if they can bounce back and play against a great opponent in Shelby on Tuesday. Like to see the braves be more patience on offense and go back to locking people down on defense like they did early on.
