As a Yellow Jacket Alumni I think that Senior night will be exciting and memorable for the Jackets as they beat the campers 48 -14! The Jackets will be ready! The ghosts of us former "Orange Crunch Bunch" members will be there in spirit to cheer them on.:ylsuper:

I would like to say that Russell is a very classy organization from coaches to team to fans. You all treated us very well last Friday and I appreciate that. I think that it was a very nice gesture for the players of Russell to wear the pink arm bands for breast cancer awareness. If we had known about the situation there our players would have worn them as well. Good Luck with the rest of the season.:thumb:

This quote is very true! If you don't get the blocking down the offense stops. It's true in all offense's but this one especially. If the line doesn't block the wheels fall off real quick.:ylsuper:

I see Estill getting back to a hard running double wing and moving the ball. Estill 21 Morgan 7 "Trample the weak and Hurdle the dead!"

The seniors at Estill would probably be concerned to know that there are so many people out there that want to "down" their coach and team. These kids know that their hard work will eventually pay off for them no matter what the "nay sayers" of the football world say about them or their coaches. There are alot teams in the state but only one champion in each class. I know that you can't call all of the teams that don't win losers. Football is about learning teamwork and the concept of family. Football teaches kids about life and I would dare say that the kids of Estill County will be better suited to handle adversity than some other kids who expect things to always go their way. As far as rebuilding goes in any sport no matter what the level there is always going to be a rebuilding year. That is the time that the program and it's seniors use tradition and pride to rely on.

I'll just say that at some point every program has to go through a rebuilding period.It has just been Estill's turn in the box. A true fan of football would understand that and not be so quick to point out blame. Estill County players know the task ahead of them and I applaud them for not quitting. As far as Jones and his staff go they don't seem to be quitting either. A true test of a team is how they handle adversity and these guys are handling it like men. It is very easy to criticize something when you have no stake in it but let's see who's there when the program turns around.

I believe that there is alot of tradition in Estill County and a true love of the game. At some point in the "Neer" future it will all come togther.

It is definately not the coach! The game plan can be there but if the kids don't execute it you can't blame the coach. Jones is a winner and knows how to win but if the kids don't play there is nothing he nor his coaches can do. As far as the "trickling down" quotes goes for motivation, it can come from the coach but you can't motivate players that don't want to be motivated!

I see Estill getting it's first win. The offense they run can be explosive if the players just get their confidence going.

Being from Williamsburg I have to support Coach Black. Even though he dumped my Yellow Jackets for the Colonels I still think he is a great coach. Has anyone heard any hype about Letcher County this year?
