  1. My pick would be Pikeville. After that … Raceland, Paintsville and Hazard are all imo strong contenders. Comes down to who gets the breaks, has the fewest turnovers and wins the LOS battle in each weeks matchups.
  2. All of these games since this series was restarted have been good ones. I think that there has been two O.T. games. I don't expect anything other than another one going down to the wire on Friday, imo we will see another close game between these two on Friday night. As in most any game played anywhere, the line play will termine a lot. Turnovers, big plays, etc,, all figure in as well. This one is a "you pick em'" game and I am picking my Rams.
  3. That's great to hear Doc. I was wondering how they would react to the district loss last week. A game like that can send a team either way, I was fearing the kids being down, questioning themselves and each other / blaming each other, etc.. I hope that your right and these Rams come out on fire.
  4. I don't think that I over hype, I praise them when they play well and criticize when imo that's called for. Sounds to me like that somewhere along the way that you may have developed a taste of sour grapes on Raceland. As I said, that's your opinion and I have mine. :thumb:
  5. Raceland had a chance to go in the playoffs with three guaranteed home games and came out flat, stayed that way. Also, I could be wrong (certainly wouldn't be the first time) but it seemed to me that there was too much of this "look at me, I did that" kind of stuff going on. Line up and play the next play. Maybe not, I admit that I'm old school though and may be reading too much into it. I got to see this one via the webcast / my hometown, etc. and that was much appreciated. Raceland may have been guilty of reading their own headlines and praises. Hopefully, this loss will serve as a wake up call and this Rams team will come out next week and the post season ready to play some "Ram Football" . I'll be right here with them regardless.
  6. He's a very good coach but as far as the all class part, judging from his actions and / or comments in other games ….. I would stop with saying that he's an excellent football coach and leave it at that. JMO and you are entitled to yours.
  7. I will probably put Russell's ever improving team as the favorite next week in the big rival game / Rail Cities Bowl between these two.
  8. :thumb: These two always play to the last drive or play deciding the game.
  9. Raceland continues to shoot themselves in the foot with motion / offsides penalties. Our offense couldn't get anything going all night. Two sustained drives stopped inside the PHS 20... stopped by the stupid / diciplline penalties mentioned above. The Rams defense played very good again.
  10. Congrats to Paintsville on the win / district title. We may see you again in the region final, if the Rams get that far.
  11. End 3rd, Rams driving w/ ball on Tigers 25 6-0 Tigers
  12. Tigers fumble going into endzone, Rams recover. Toouchback,
  13. Start 2nd half, Rams w/ ball
  14. in jmo, the Rams need to try and get the ball to D. Atkins , Lacks in space … running up the middle on this Tiger D is going nowhere
  15. HALF Paintsville 6 Raceland 0
  16. TD Tigers, xp-ng 6-0 4:37 in 2nd qtr.
  17. Rams to punt. I may only be posting on scores now
  18. Rams block punt, Rams ball on Tiger 42
  19. END 1st qtr. .. 0-0 Tigers to punt.
  20. Tigers take over on downs . / Rams 10
  21. My link / htT.V. has frozen ….
  22. as expected later, rain moves in now.
