Raceland/Paris Updates
I'm sure that Paris w as thinking of the turf / helping their speed factoring in on the move to BCHS. What imo people underestimate is Raceland's speed, especially on defense, LB's.

Class 1A Playoffs: #4 Raceland at Paris
GAMEDAY !! Rams … I have heard from some of you that you have "Unfinished Business" this season as in getting to the championship game last season and not finishing with a win. That "Unfinished Business" began last week. All of you are at step 2 of the 5 step / game season to get where you want to go. STAY FOCUSED …. Do Not Look Past Paris …. Play Smart, Play PHYSICAL, Play RAM PRIDE FOOTBALL …... NO PRISONERS !!

How do programs recover from discouraging seasons?
:thumb: Best post on this thread. I agree and although I had blasted schools, coaches (only 1or2) … I haven't talked about any h.s. kid. To me anyway, that's out of bounds. I'm not trying to self promote with that just really liked and agree w / your post.

How do programs recover from discouraging seasons?
I have been very critical (to say the least) of Fairview, that's been well documented in the past on here. All of that had to do with some individuals (a coach then principal then superintendent and others) that were responsible for all the problems in the past that practically cost the people their school system all together. As I said, that's in the past. As for now, I had heard last summer that Fairview may be cancelling their football program all together. For the residents of Westwood and the kids / students, I am glad that they kept football going. There was a vey low number of players problem. I believe that I read somewhere that Fairview had more younger kids that were interested, talented and want to play. I hope that's the case and they can keep football going. I give a lot of credit to the Cooksey's at that school. Rex Cooksey and his son are coaching football along with practically every other sport at the school. Any community, school system needs that kind of dedicated individuals in their home towns, school system.

3A Russell vs. 3A Waggener
After a rough start to the season, Coach Maynard has had his team playing well. I look for Russell to be focused and get the W.

Class 1A Playoffs: #4 Raceland at Paris
Grass, mud, turf, gravel or concrete :lol2:…. lets go get a W ! Actually, I am glad the game has been moved to BCHS, will be far better press / coaches box, fan seating and not to mention the most important …. a better playing surface for both teams. Rain is the one equalizer. Should one team have had a huge advantage in any certain area, that may become even. On a side note …. I feel certain that the Raceland-Worthington schools admin. would gladly allow this one to be moved to Raceland … just say'n
