  1. Someday a 16 seed will defeat a 1 seed, I don't think it will happen Friday as much as I want it to.
  2. Congratulations to Shelby Valley. You came out the second half and out played us. And to the SV fans that welcomed me sitting in their cheering section, thanks for treating me with respect, I enjoyed talking with all of you! Good Luck tomorrow.
  3. The main reason or one of the main reasons for poor shooting is the 3 point shot. I say take it out of the high school game and you might see some of the other aspects as far as fundamentals would improve. You got kids shooting from 20 plus ft. but they can't stand at the free throw line and hit 60%.
  4. I'm not running down Faried, far from from it, wish he was at UK this year, to help them out, but also having a good, big man in the pivot would give them the abilty to play Faried at power forward instead of center. Wouldn't you want a fairly decent 6'10", 6'11", or 7 footer who could play and or spell Faried if he was to get into foul trouble? I bet Tydall does. You can never have too many pieces to an incomplete puzzle.
  5. Went to the game last night and loved it, but with that being said, Morehead has to cut down on the unforced turnovers, and shoot the ball better, and hope for the Cards to get into foul trouble and have a cold shooting night. Also a liitle help from a priest, rabbai, witch doctor, snake handler, and who ever else you could think of!:laugh:
  6. Even though Faried is a rebounding machine, the Eagles need to get a decent big man.
  7. I'll be attending, driving back and forth, but I'll still be there.
  8. The locker room speech "I love you guys." from Hoosiers. Bluto:"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor". Otter:"Germans?" Boone:"He's rollin." Classic from Animal House Remember The Titans when Coach Boone was telling Sunshine how he had to raise his 12 brothers and sisters and he only had 8. Just a few among many!
  9. Because it's going to happen within the next two years, and it gives us something to talk about.
  10. Robert Byrd and Ted Kennedy. Saw Byrd at the inaugeration lunch in a wheel chair, he doesn't know where he's at, his aides are just wanting to keep their jobs. Byrd, Kennedy, and McConnell are 3 very good reasons term limits are needed for members of the Congress and Senate. If two terms are good enough for the President then two terms are good enough for the rest.
  11. Agree with what you say, but Bracken Co, could be a surprise.
  12. I'm going to Dayton, and tickets are only $13.
  13. Daughter is getting a pair of tickets for us to go to Dayton, are they taking pep buses to Dayton, or is it every man for himself?
  14. This may be true, but they are only 2 votes on the Board of Control, and if the rest of the board votes against them, well, the aye's have it.
  15. I did, but if the point of redistricting as far as the 10th Region is concerned, to make room for, balance, or whatever term or reason you use, to make room for 9th Region schools, and make the 10th Region more of Northern Kentucky region, then Montgomery Co. to the 16th, Fleming Co. to the 10th, Clark, Bourbon, Paris to the 11th, and Harrison to the 11th or the 8th.
  16. Does the 61st District hold the tournament also at MSU, if so, if Montgomery Co. moves into the district and 16th Region, I am sure the fans that built that new gym and not getting to host the district and region will be singing the blues.
  17. Your forgetting that more than likely either next year or the year after Fleming Co. will be moving back to the 39th District and 10th Region, if all the rumors that have been circulating are true. Then Montgomery Co. will be in only a 4 team district.
  18. I understand what your saying, but there is no rule saying there has to be at least 16 teams per Region. Besides, if you read my earlier post, Fleming Co. (by all the other threads on realighnment) will becoming back into the 10th Region and the 39th District, therefore Harrison Co. can be moved into the 8th or 11th Regions.
  19. Like I said, I would not presume what the other districts would do, and maybe I am hoping for 2 out of 4 and lucky to get 1 out of every 3 years, but depending on the relationships between Mason Co. and Bracken, Deming and Augusta that they would vote for us. Harrison is not figured in my scenario because they were moved to the 11th or 8th Region in my redistricting.
  20. I am not an educator, but being that my wife is a former teacher, and the fact that we have put 2 girls through CATS, the younger graduating this year, I have to say good ridanance. You have text books with say 20 chapters in it and you only have to teach and or learn 6 to 8 because they cover the test and rest don't, no wonder we are falling behind the rest of the world. They teach kids as if 100 percent of them are going to college, their not, they need to teach basics to survive in the real world and the kids who want to go to college then they can take the advanced courses. I know when my daughter was in the 5th grade, she came home from "testing" saying the teacher walked around while testing and if she was standing behind her watching and she saw a wrong answer she would cough and shake her head "no" and my daughter would move the pencil down until she shook her head "yes". As far as I'm concerned, those big signs hanging at Mason Co. saying how well we have done on CATS testing are big bold faced lies. You have kids who know how use a cell phone, but can't find Lexington on a map or balance a check book. No excuse if you ask me.
