They played really bad basketball? You short change your kids with that opinion. Gallatin might have had something to do with that. Give credit where credit is due. Gallatin gave a much taller talented team all they wanted and then some. The South shooter was bailed out, period. I really would have liked see the game decided in OT. Not only is that not a foul in that situation, it is never a foul. Absolutely disgraceful.
North Oldham High School has only been around for about 7-8 years. This will make the fourth or fifth time that the Administration has wanted to take the program in a new direction. They will have a hard time achieving any sustained success with a revolving coaching door. Best of luck to Coach Edelen.
Congrats to Coach Duvall and the Rebels. Marks second consecutive year that the 31st District will be represented in both semifinal games. I recall six years ago when the Districts/Region were realigned, a few members of this forum voiced their opinion that the 31st District was the weakest District in the state. I don't think that is the case at this point.
As I have stated in an earlier thread, I expect a Walton-Verona / Simon Kenton final. They are the two best teams in my opinion. Good luck to everyone.
Congrats to Coach Jones and his team. Some of you folks are giving Coach Trame a hard time without cause. Gallatin can be hard to guard at times due to the fact that Coach Jones gives them alot of freedom. Also, keep in mind that basketball I.Q. is hard to teach.
Coach Mefford is probably still wondering about his teams shot selection in the 4th quarter. Gallatin could be very solid next season with everyone returning. Congrats to Coach Roberts on a solid season. Good luck to Coach Mefford and his team in the finals and the 8th Region Tournament.
Unless they have moved the fences back, I would be surprised if those dimensions are correct. Down the lines maybe. 355 to center, I would have to measure myself to believe it. But yes, it is a nice facility. Played in many 8th Region Tournaments on that field in the late 80's.
