Perry by 8. Breathitt should/would/could of been the best team but Perry is hott, its at Perry and Breathitt will have problems as the game goes along handling the pressure and getting Hollon involved. Smith should have a big game since he has the size,skill and reason to play hard and become involved one way or another.

Estill by 19 eventhough Jackson isnt that bad of team and has a nice player in Davidson. Too much Engineers in this one.

who got the all tournament team out of the 56th? I hear Cackling got the MVP.

I havent watched them this year but just a few times. In the game it seemed like Hazard wanted to push the ball more and Perry wasn't very interested in running and gunning. You have probaly watched them more than I have, I was just basing it what I seen all year and the in distric. :thumb:

Agreed. Although, Hazard will play two and possible of knocking them off teams before reaching the finals. Cordia is physical, offensive capable and defensive capable of playing with Hazard. If Estill gets hot then they can beat anyone in the region because they can flat light it up whenever they get hot. Hazard didn't shoot the ball well at Perry in distric. Eventhough Hazard is the favorite the tournament will be interesting. Noone has an easy walk through this year.:fight:

I agree with you that he is a nice player and got the MVP in the distric to prove it. There are a couple more such as Kinser from Powell, big guy from Cordia and June B(Collins), player or 2 from Letcher, Perry, point guard from Buckhorn(name slipped my mind) that could be named and comes close to making the list. :ylsuper:

This is going to open up the entire brackett. This is where coming in as a winner increases your chances tremendously. Can't wait to watch how this turns out.

Sounds like a traditional 56th finals game, exciting to the end. Congrats to Estill that has a nice team and has to be one of the top 3 favorites going in. Favorites, imo 1 Hazard 2 and 3 Estill/Cordia (even though Cordia lost I still put them up there) Rest are pretty even.

Very true. Perry was prepared for Hazard's half court trap. Perry brought the ball down and passed the ball no less than 4 times before a shot was put up the majority of the time. Perry missed a few easy ones that should of went down all throughout the game caused by Hazard size. I didnt think the game was sloppy or anything just slow paced due to Perry's strategy.

Sounds like a good game, I would like to hear some stats. I expected Cordia in a close one but wasnt too surprised to see a good Letcher team come out on top. Congrats to Letcher.

A lot better game than I expected. Congrats to both teams on making the regionals. Represent the 56th well like we know you will, especially considering that region is at Powell.

This game was never that close but the game never did seem to get out of control. Perry is one of them teams that could make a run quick and in a hurry if the three ball starts falling. Hazard did a good job of handling Perry's run. Seems like each time Perry went on a run Hazard's Whitaker seem to come up with a big play to get the momentum back on Hazard's size. Not a bad game but Hazard is by the favorite going into region. Some winners going into regional play is going to have a rough game with Perry and then the loser of the Cordia v/s Letcher game. Can't wait til next week.

I wasn't there but a Breathitt fan said the same thing as lucky13 said. Sad to have a win like this but the players did nothing so congrats to Breathitt. Congrats to Jackson on a hard faught game and goodluck to both teams in region.

I never seen this kid play but heard of him thepast couple years. With his numbers and all the colleges contacting him he must be the real deal. Have to get out and watch this kid play.

I'll take June B by 6. Also have to take in that June B is 8-0 at home this season so going in Grady Nutt Athletic Center and coming out on the winning side hasn't been easy all year for anyone one way or another.

The largest part of this distric right now is the location. It was origanally June B.'s turn to host but all the coaches in the distric agreed that the size of court wasn't regualtion and that the gym size was a factor(too small for anticpated crowd size). From what I heard from one of the team in the distric's coaching personal was that June B is tring to hold out to see what the seeds are before they choose a location. They are wanting not to get a team at home in the first round and also pair that team up with a strong team to possibly wear them down. It may be a factor it may not but either way this tournament and how/where it ends up is gonna be something to watch for.

Yes. June B is 6-1 in the distric with just a game againest KCC to go. It is at Grady Nutt Athletic Center.

Breathitt Wolfe Breathitt as champs

This draw means that Wolfe and Riverside have a shot and at another game and made it to region. Breathit is the BIG favorites in this one and in the region but of course thats why we play the game.
