Big Game Player

Hazard is by far the favorite no matter what team they go againest in the region. Although, I will be rooting for the underdog in Estill tonight and throughout the tournament.

Congrats to Breathitt on repeating as Champs and Shouse on MVP. Goodluck at State. Congrats to Megan Mosely, Coach Amburgey and the KC Patriots on a great season.

State-Bound for the both of them. I think I'm safe to say Breathitt would have a totally different game in front of them today in the finals. Talk about running and gunning with these two running side by side.

Breathitt High is suppose to be up for grabs but that is just what I've been told. Anyone heard any names for any jobs as filling in the spots.

Yeah I have noticed this before also. I like the break away rim because before it would hit then bounce high into the air and many times over the backboard. Kinda like the rims at many parks. The breakaway rim gives a better roll, ;)or maybe thats just my touch on the ball;)

The weather wasn't that bad until right after the game. It was kinda like you go into the gym and everthing is just a little wet. Come out of the gym and its looks like antarctic.:eek: 4 wheel dive come in handy around tournament time.:flame: Iceeeeeeeee

Megan Mosely was just too much. Both teams were evenly talented. Powell pressed and KCC's press breaker is named Megan. It was one on 4. Powell county is tring to deny, Megan gets open dribbles through them and then dishes to an open teammate or score herself. Powell played alright the first half but foul trouble killed them. KCC plays as hard as any team I've ever seen. If Mosely has a big game and can get in the open court then they could play Breathitt down to the wire but she'll need some help.

Kendall Noble is tough from Breathitt. People worry about her because she can score and she does just not any one-on-one plays. She feeds off Shouse since people are also worried about Shouse just as much or more. As soon as the double team goes to Shouse she feeds herself for a while. These two work together better than any two I have seen in girls basketball in a while. Knott's Megan Mosley never gets out of control. KCC plays hard and will put up a good fight .Goodluck to both of these teams in the finals. The game has been postponed till Sunday at 3:00pm is what I've been told.

Would of been a better game if Sturdivant would of played but I still see Breathitt pulling this one out.

Breathitt by 14. I think it will be a good game till the end when Knott gets into foul trouble. If Mosely get hot then they have a chance but she missed too many give-me's tonight early in the game to win a championship.

I'll agree. I dont see anyway possible that Hatcher gets it over Honeycut.

I'll go with letcher in a close on. 54-51. I think the difference will be in Letcher's quickness. Breathitt didnt have the speed to guard Perry and be effective. Letcher is a pretty good team off the dribble and passes well. IMO the only way that Perry pulls this one out is from the 3pt line, which Perry is very capable of it especailly being at home. Gonna be a good game either way.

I have heard that Heather Sturdivant was the POY in the 14th from a very reliable source. If so I would like to be the first to tell her congrats on the award, season(eventhough it isnt over at this time) and the bright future for this talented young player. Also wish her goodluck on the future ahead of her. I also just learned that Heather is the All-Time leading scorer at Perry Central :jump: I was also told that Union, Berea and a few more have offered but Union is the front runner according to Heather's list of colleges.

Congrats to Powell. Mosely will be waiting for them but Powell being at home always seem to give them a slight advantage.

I have heard that Zack Hurt from Cordia got the POY for the Men's and Heather Sturdivant for the Women's.

I think Hazard will end up pulling this on out. Estill though and like I said before is no team to play around with. They have 4 potential 3pt threats. Cackling, Christopher and #12 can flat light it up and knock you out if they get going. Hazard is athletic enough to play man with them but Estill isn't that bad off the dribble either. I'll say Hazard by 8 but a very, very potential upset could be instore.

After he went out Cordia was helpless and Hazard jumped onto the oppurtunity and by the time Hurt got back into the game it was already too late for the 14th Region Player of the Year. Hated to see him go out when it was just in reach and seemed to be turning into a good game. Whitetaker is tough and knocked down big shot to match Cordia's run but Campbell seemed to score and give a boost right when Hazard needed it most. Congrats to Hazard.

Who is going to win this rematch of last year's Regional Finals showdown? Breathitt went to Perry and defeated them 53-51 in the Perry Central Invitational earlier in the season. Both teams have improved, matured and are playing well and neither have homecourt advantage. :fight::argue::fight:

Yeah I have to agree with you here. Unless Perry gets hot then I don't see these teams getting anywhere near 70 points per team. I believe both teams like to slow it down eventhough speeding it up may be to Perry's advantage bbeause running Smith all night and wearing the big guy down could help:walk:

I wouldn't say that. Any team can be beat on any given night, especially in Kentucky basketball. Hollon has been upset before eventhough this team is experienced. Don't over look anyone and remember thats why we play the game. I'll agree with you and say Hazard will win this one but Cordia is the best team in the bracket to match up with Hazard, imo. Should be a good game.
