Greenwood won by 4 or 5 points. Dee Anderson had huge 2nd half. Think he had 4 3point baskets in a row at one point.

After having seen each team play in the last 24 hours, have to say HHS is the better team. I do think it would be one heck of a game and Highlands would have to throw the ball (unlike the state championship game) in order to get the win. St. X is the only team I've seen with an O-line comparable to the birds.

Congrats birds on #19. O-line was amazing. Thanks Leatherneck for politefully declining the offer from my wife and I to host pregame festivities at our house. Did not think the birds would bring six bus loads plus a stretch Hummer to the game. Guess I could have hired you to handle the subsequent divorce. Again congrats BIRDS on a memorable season!!! By the way, what do the bird fans think the outcome of a John Hardin versus Johnson Central matchup would have looked like?

Partly cloudy and cold, with gametime temp in low 30's. Would take that with a grain of salt. Our weather forecasters are pretty bad, and I usually defer to Radar the weather dog's forecast. He's really smart for a border collie.

I'll either be watching the Gators and listening to the purples or watching the purples and listening to the gators. Usuallly I go to watch the more competitive game and unfortunately I think It will be at Monie Beard field Friday night. As you know I may not have a lot of love for the Purples but I do really like the kids playing for them if that makes any sense and would love to see them in the finals. May even root for them if the birds stub their toe next week. Hate to say it but I may get to watch the first half of the gators and the second half of the purples. Afraid one game may get ugly quick.

Maybe you have a point. I do think the three years the Purples lost in the finals they probably had more talent on the field than the team that beat them rather easily. With the exception of this year, BGHs has had several Legit D-1 athletes, loaded with athletes and tons of speed. You would think that would translate into more competitive state championship games, maybe the road to get there is just too tough.

Bowling Green didn't give Lex Cath or Cov cath much of a game either the last two years Highlands wasn't in the finals.

Just got done watching the game for a second time on TV. Had to make sure I hadn't dreamt the result of the first viewing. I'm kind of ashamed to admit that after seeing the birds earlier this season, I was just hoping for a competitive showing. The defense was amazing and almost looked like we had 15 players on the field. Again, congradulations to the players, parents, coaches, and community. Hope Bardo recovers quickly but I have no doubt everyone will step up and the birds won't miss a beat! Sure the boys will savor the victory but get back to work immediately on the quest for number 19. They now have a chance for a historic season.(undefeaated season, state championship, and beating a nationally ranked GCL power). Doesn't get any better than that. Think I'll watch the game again. Did that really happen last night???
