Guess I missed it. I know Elliott went 1 for 8 against us last year. Darner and Adams I don't recall any big hits against us, but I only saw them when they played us.

Back to the thread title. which of the 8 teams listed that were there last year will repeat? Ryle lost a ton of players, but they are reloading. If they hit, they will repeat. Lots of folks are mentioning Greenup Co. Anybody else?

I think it's going to be a fun year....with Ryle, Cov Cath and Beechwood all having a shot. Whoever wants it most.

Saw Mr. Renda throw a couple of innings up in Indiana last summer, they were playing ahead of the Kings. Didn't look overpowering but he was getting em out. Had a chance to meet his dad, very nice gentleman. Hope Joe gets some innings at Ryle this Spring....I will keep an eye out for him.

We do have another CCH alum coaching on the freshmen level. Coach Collins.

Actually, he's a Xavier University alum. That's the last place he polished his baseball skills.

And the girls softball team looks like the Russian National Hockey team from all those bench clearing braws....I tell ya, missing teeth, scars accross their faces......those bad nasty Ryle Kids. I am scared to death every time I go out to Ryle.

LOL....Haven't you heard? Our golf team is just waaaaaaay too aggresive and has a horrible reputation. The opposition wears helmets on the golf course when they meet up with Ryle. LOL

Garrett Wagner and Brent Humphrey both ran a 14. 7 home to home, that breaks down to a 3.67 home to first from the right handers box. Garrett was timed in a game situation at Morganroth 3.4 which is more realistic then the home to home time, due to the fractions of seconds you loose rounding the bases. I think Humpy had a 3.6 home to first. Makes the diffrence in a .500 hitter and say a .450 hitter when you beat out a few infield hits.

That's comming up quick....be careful and look forward the banter myself. We have some hot dogs, apple pie, baseball and chevrolets awaiting you.

All good choices, I would say Charlie Lovan will get a few W's for Ryle and they have a couple young arms I plan to watch Echine (sp) Hemmer.

You were almost positive no one in Northern Kentucky could beat you guys last year.....the article from the CCH player that made that statement hung in the Raider dougout all year.

Yor post is why the Ryle players, coaches and fans respect the CCH players, coaches and fans. And from the CCH players coaches and fans I know, the feeling is the same.

BTW...beating Cov Cath 3 out of 4 times again this year will get Coach Roesel there even faster.

You may want to start your own thread on coach K's great accomplishments. I know you are new, but hi jacking threads is not cool.

Just looking at Ryle's stats and 08 schedule and it looks like Coach Roesel can get his 300th win by mid season. Good luck Pat. We'll see you 3-25 at Tates Creek and hopefully at Applebee's in June.

You guys gave him a great retirement gift. I'm sure he will always remember that team.

Not really. They usually win with their bats and their defense. They don't walk too many, but then again they don't strike too many out either. Last year they probably averaged 2 or 3 strikeouts a game. This year I would say Seabold, Campbell and Rieder will cruise in the mid 80's. All have good breaking balls and good control. Charlie Lovan is a good spot guy and I know they have four or five good prospects from the 9th region champion JV team.

Where did Shelby Co's coach from 07 go?

I agree. When you looked at their record going into the State tourney it looked like they would be eliminated rather quickly, but they cut thru the competition and wound up in the finals. If they had one more pitchers, they may have won state.
