I don't like the term "handed over." Most high school teams do not field a team of players who play together in club. They are scattered over different age groups and different clubs. I actually think your comment insults every high school coach out there. High school coaches put in twice the time as club coaches and yet get paid pretty much the same amount.

Good match up between two top five NKY teams on Wednesday night. Who do we have in this one?

I think this can go three if the camels can play as a team. Both teams were pushed to three games by Holy Cross. Should be a close match, probably go three games.

NCC plays the Camels in the nice cool climate of CCHS gym. Any predictions??

How did the teams look? I thought that NCC would run away with this one. Holy Cross is better than people think. Very scrappy.

Two top ten schools face off over at Ryle. Who looks like the favorite in this one? I heard Campbell County has some big girls blocking and two monster left sides hitting. Can the Camels upset Ryle tonight??

Should be a good match. Holy Cross has everyone back and the Camels have some big girls up front to block. It will be tough to get a ball around some of those girls.

I was there supporting the camels. Beechwood had a very young team and they play well together. The camels beat the tigers in the semi's. The camels fell to Scott in the finals. Very close games. Scott had 3 girls from their JV/Varsity team. The camels field four eight graders, two of which are the setters. Alot of talent at the freshman level. Very bright futures for them all.

They said it was personal reasons.

The camels start their season today after their match vs Beechwood was canceled. Holy Cross makes their trip south to a nice air conditioned gym. Who wins this match??

9th-Notre Dame 10th-Newport Central Catholic

It is going to be dog fight down in Harrison Co. in the final game. Both teams have alot of fire power and anyone can win. I hate the idea that it is fifty miles away from Northern Ky. Would love to see a full gym of fans to watch this match, but its hard for everyone to make it down there by 7 pm.

I watched Montgomery Cty play last night and they don't stand a chance against NCC. It will be the Camels and Breds for a rematch of last years 10th region championship.

I don't think any other sport needs that format other than volleyball. I would watch volleyball all day if the state tournament was played that way. More money could be brought in and teams wouldn't have to make a trip to Frankfort to get eliminated by Assumption or any other team in the first round. Every team could be guarenteed three matches. 1st and 2nd of each pool goes on to bracket play the last place team(s) in the pool go home. That easy. Plus more quality teams wouldn't be left out, like Ryle, St. Henry/Notre Dame, NCC/Campbell/Highlands. Too many quality teams get left out because they are in the 9th and 10th region and eliminate each other. Same thing with Sacred Heart/Mercy/Presentation down in Louisville.

If you ask me the true state tournament was held when the LIVT was played. The best teams in the state come together to play each other in a pool play style tournament the way it should be. Let the top 20-24 teams in the state play a three day weekend tournament starting on Thursday night and going till Saturday afternoon. Survival of the fittest. Pool play/Double elimination. That's the way you crown a champion in volleyball.

Just because a team has a winning record doesn't mean they are going to be a great team. There are teams up here in NKY that have .500 or below .500 records because they play great talent all the time. I believe that all teams in KY play a 20 match preseason before going into post season. Nothing is seeded, and great teams get left out of the State Tourney. Records do not mean anything in KY volleyball.

The setter for Campbell will be back in action tonight against the Bluebirds from Highlands. Should be a good match. Highlands is doing pretty good while the Camels are on a bit of a slide since the St. Henry match.

I do not think volleyball refs should get paid what they do. But it is not the easiest game to ref. Very fast attacks, watching the net calls, calling lifts on balls hit or served close to 70mph doesn't make the officiating easy. I have been in the chair reffing volleyball games and I can tell you there is alot of stuff going on while you are up there.

If Campbell County can play that way every match alot of teams are in big trouble. Campbell threw up some huge blocks against the Cru's middles and outsides. Then the tipping began and hurt the Camels in the end.

Campbell County has a really tough week with Conner last night, St. Henry tonight and NCC tomorrow night.

NCC beat up on Holy Cross. I thought Holy Cross would give them a better game the way the played against Campbell County last week.

Anyone heard if the coaching vacancies have been filled for Boone, Dixie, Brossart, and Conner? I heard Highlands is looking for another coach. Open gyms are starting up for some schools. These schools better get a move on it.

I agree with those picks. I would have Karley Riffe and Emily Beiting from Highlands on there somewhere.

You guys forget about Allison McElveen for CCHS. She is a great hitter and good all around player. Let's not forget that CCHS will give NCC a run for their money again this teay with 5 of 6 starters com ing back.
