The camels start their season today after their match vs Beechwood was canceled. Holy Cross makes their trip south to a nice air conditioned gym. Who wins this match??

I like Holy Cross in the upset. They are a well disciplined team. Most play club ball together. Plus, they already have one match under their belt vs. Calvary.

I'll take the Camels, but wouldn't consider it a big upset if the Indians win. A number of the Campbell Co players play JO ball together so I don't see any advantages there.

I will probably be at the match.No dog in the fight this year but still I still like to watch quality matches and this should be a good one.:thumb:

Should be a good match. Holy Cross has everyone back and the Camels have some big girls up front to block. It will be tough to get a ball around some of those girls.

Very sloppy match and probably the worst refereed matches I have witnessed for both sides in a long time.The Camels have some beasts up front but have to improve on service errors and getting the set up.Holy Cross has a very scrappy team and they dont let alot hit the floor.

They've always been the cross backs. Most of their jersies incorporate (or at least used to) a small cross between the shoulders.

when I first started working in the construction trades the non-Catholics called the Catholics Me included Cross backs or mackerel snapper or other terms that were meant to be insulting and derisive. The are still The Indians .

Because of today's PC environment, it's kind of ironic to want them called "Indians" so that we are not offensive.

The word "Crossbacks" was always meant to be derogatory towards HC students. All of us were called Crossbacks growing up, especially by the Holmes students. However, all the alumni I know, now embrace the term and are proud to be called Crossbacks.

Of course, we're also proud to be called "Indians" too.
