Folks if your headed to a match in Camel land be ready to dish out some cash if you want to see a match.They are charging $5 a person to get in.No student price and no senior or family prices.I seen a family from Conner pay $25 bucks to get in and the kids were all under 9.They were not happy.What is up out there as usual the administractors are clueless.:madman:

Highlands also is $5 to get in but I believe they have a student price as well as a season pass.

At Ludlow it is $5.00 for adults to all varsity sports $3.00 for students and No Senior price. Students who participate in extra curricular activities get in free.

Yes we do get some complaints but what is funny is most of the complaining comes from those who are paying several thousand dollars to send their kids to private schools. Go figure.

Nah, I disagree. Most of them have a nice little next egg that allows them to pay to come watch. If it were up to me I'd let all students at the home school in for free.

If home students free, then why charge visiting students? Doesn't seem like the hospitible thing to do. I would be in favor of adults paying the majority of the fee. Adults $5, students $2, grade school students and senior citizens free or $1.

 

I think any way to encourage larger crowds is a good idea. Maybe $1 hot dogs or Big Zig bobbleheads would be a good idea.

I believe that at NCC it is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 students, But most students have an opportunity to purchase an all sports activity pass . And at NCC you also get a free pass to the sauna during the early season games which is a plus if you want to lose some weight without much effort .

:confused: Visiting students can get in free at their own school. Anyway the school has to try and meet expenses. Maybe someone could convince officials in high school sports to waive their pay and then we could let in a few extra people free, JK, We both know that will never happen..

Let me preface my statement with the fact that while I like good high school volleyball, I don't see a lot of games.

It is a pretty easy gig IMO as well and they get something like $60.00 a piece for a JV and Varsity match and $86.00 to add on a freshmen match. Not bad for 2-3 hours of work..

There doesn't appear to be much running involved.

I do not think volleyball refs should get paid what they do. But it is not the easiest game to ref. Very fast attacks, watching the net calls, calling lifts on balls hit or served close to 70mph doesn't make the officiating easy. I have been in the chair reffing volleyball games and I can tell you there is alot of stuff going on while you are up there.

I didn't say it was "easy." I said it seemed to be the "easiest" with the exception of maybe fastpitch softball.
