Poor Powell County. Lost to first year team last week in McCreary Cent. and this week to last years lowest rated team in the state, Betsy Layne. Congrats to BL, just think how close they could be to being 2-0. Good schedule could mean a couple of more wins. Are they going into district play next year? If so, they have a shot at that 4th playoff spot in the future.

I got an idea, take that 15,000$ rent some tour buses, hire some tutors, pay for motel rooms, drive on past London. Get your bell rung at Bell County, stop and lose to Rockcastle, next week take a beating from Southwestern, travel on to Boyle County and get thumped. Travel back to the mountains and tell everyone about your trip to southern Ky. and how they are afraid to play Johnson Central. Heck, we may even throw in a free meal.

Anyone see any of the games? What teams looked good? Any surprises or comments?

Who is Anthony Hampton? Wheres he from? Has anyone actually been interviewed?

The Coach should not let them play after what they did to their own school but I guess having respect for your school that you are representing does not matter to him.

How would the coach let the boys play for the school that they just disrespected so bad. Its a shame that these boys will be allowed to play for Somerset again.

Will Betsy Layne have football this year? If so, have they hired a coach yet?

Southwestern played a sloppy game and trailed for most of the game. The Warriors made a rally to win the game in the bottom of the 6th. Eric Rice, Ryan Branscum and Brandon Hraniky all had solo homeruns for the Warriors. Southwestern improves to 4-0 in the district.

How did Fothergill from Southwestern do? I heard he was one of the best 3 pt shooters at the tryouts. Wasn't he one of the leading scorers at the scrimmage?

He may do a great job there, but can he beat Southwestern and Pulaski? He will be up against two good coaches for county bragging rights. Rice being #1 and Hurt being a close second.

No they didn't....Southwestern scored more games in the Whitley game then in the North and South game combined. They scored 9 against Whitley and 3 against South and 1 against North.

Southwestern threw their #5 at Whitley. South Laurel is a good team, but if it wasnt for a couple of errors by Southwestern then SL probaly wouldnt have scored. The same situation against North. Both Laurel teams are good teams though.

But they are still included as part of the mountains.

Good win for the Warriors against a cross town rival. Ryan Branscum records second victory, Somerset couldn't get anything going against Ryan and the Warriors hit the ball well all day.

I have contacted some people in the area and no one seems to know. I was hoping that someone on this post which is titled "Betsy Layne Situation" might have some answers. O-line you responded to this even though you didn't have any answers either, so your post actually was worthless. If you don't have information regarding this post, why comment?

Have they interviewed anyone? Whats going on ? Are they going to field a team this year? Are they going to play in a district this year? A lot of qestions, any answers?
