Poor Powell County. Lost to first year team last week in McCreary Cent. and this week to last years lowest rated team in the state, Betsy Layne. Congrats to BL, just think how close they could be to being 2-0. Good schedule could mean a couple of more wins. Are they going into district play next year? If so, they have a shot at that 4th playoff spot in the future.

McCreary is not a 1st year team. They have had football about 15-16 years if I'm not mistaken. They made hude strides last year and the man that started the program has returned this year as head coach. Best of luck to the Raiders. As far as Powell is concerned, they were without 4-5 key players and started 5-6 freshmen on both sides of the ball. I believe they will be without those players at least 2 more weeks due to injuries. Good Luck Betsy Layne and Coach Branham.
