I am surprised there is not more talk on this game, should be a good one. I'll go with Ryle 31-21

They were 30 yarders from the right hash. Normally these are like extra points for Ross Uminger. But these were made kicking in a wet mud with no bite for his plant foot and into a stiff wind. He was also 6 - 6 on XPs in the same conditions. Much more difficult to do than many who are getting to kick on the carpeted turf fields these days!

Thats right. It was a 32 yarder by Ross Uminger, now having a great senior year. He said it would have been good from 50, knowing how it left his foot, so the block was the only way to stop it. Was plenty high, someone just broke through and deflected it.

On Ross Uminger kicking, he did not miss 3 - 4 extra points. He was 2 of 3 by stats but the one miss was a hold in the rain problem. The hold was dropped on the first XP, It got barely re-teed late, he had to kick "at it " already out of step, still just barely missed . Next TD had no kick, they went for two and were stopped. Next TD had a personal foul after the TD, assessed on the XP, so he made a 35 yard XP in the rain no problem. The next TD was a normal good XP. The last TD, an NCC player broke through the middle and blocked it. So not to worry, his kicking is fine.

I am sure you are proud of your hometown kicker but I think there are several excellent kickers across the state and unless you line them up together no one can claim theirs is the finest in the state. Good luck to all of the excellent kickers and good luck with your season.

On Kickers, Ok with Roch as #1, but Ross Uminger/Ryle was overlooked as the definite #2. He had just over 50% touchbacks, 29-31 on XPs, and 3-5 on FGs, all a very close 2nd to Roch.

Henry Clay wins this one. the Rocks have had an easy walk so far, HC will bring a level they have not seen since X.

Seems losing on just a last second FG to an excellent team with a senior QB who will be playing on Saturday next year is far from falling like a rock. And the only reason FC was 3rd seed, not 2nd is their QB did not play last week. Good season to Ryle

About a 33 yarder from the left hash. The snap and hold were good, Ross Uminger the kicker said he hit it just right, was going high, long and straight through. There was a hard rush, Fern Creek came through, leaped high and still just deflected it. Fern Creek showed a lot of class, it was a hard fought clean game. Good luck next week, beat Trinity!
