IMO, Kidwell had a pretty good arm. He completed his passes well, though it may have just appeared that way because of his support by great wideouts and lack of a good secondary on Ashland's part. But he wasn't too great at scrambling away from the pocket.

I agree with CCFC on the scrimmage, it looked like it was going to be a long day for Ashland but after the first couple of series it became one of the hardest hitting scrimmages I've seen in a long while. Both teams had several bone jarring hits as the teams exhibited great enthusiasm and fire. I came away from the scrimmage with the feeling that both teams are going to be good this season but as always this early in the season both teams still have plenty of work to do.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to the Nethercutt kid. He's definately a beast. He didn't play last year, but he should make a name for himself this season.

Matt will be just fine at QB. His biggest problem at first was his arm and his inability to make a good throw. Since the passing scrimmages he has GREATLY improved this. He makes great reads and throws the ball to the open reciever. Putting him at QB also gives him more open field opportunities which is obviously his strong point. We've got some good running backs to take his place and moving him to QB is just helping the team. I think Ashland is going to surprise a lot of people this season. BTW does anyone know when the Independent's football preview comes out?

Spring practice starts Monday!!!!!!! Equipment will be passed out on Thursday and Friday

Ashland ends their spring practice schedule with an intersquad scrimmage. It's a lot of fun for everyone involved, and last season the winning team was rewarded with big, juicy steaks at the team picnic! The losing team ate hotdogs and burgers so they were not left hungry.

How long of a drive is it from Clark Co to Ashland?? I mean, in a charter bus..

I remember that day. That was one of the most fun times I have ever had. And seeing T-Love and Coach Hart mudslide was worth more than any money anyone could give...

Fields Davis, starting LB for Ashland for the past 3 years, is not even honorable mention? He was 2nd team last year I believe, maybe 3rd. It's a good thing I dont really care much about the AP poll.
