  1. Just heard former Highlands standout and Ohio coaching legend KEVIN SIPLE is going to be the Offensive Coordinator at CCHA. Good Luck, Sips!! Thanks for staying out of Park Hills!!
  2. Too late...Border Bowl with a victorious KY team over TN already kicked the season off...Jan. 17,2009
  3. WOW! Great job 'Cats! What makes 'dem Wildcats WILD?
  4. This was the real difference in the game. HHS was intimidated inside...except for that scrappy little Conner gal!!
  5. Hard fought game...back and forth all the way. Birds had a good look at the end for the win...but it didn't fall. Nothing to hang their heads about. Two FINE ladies teams. Good luck to both and may they meet again at state! The 3rd time is the charm!!
  6. Sounds like a throwback referee game from Ken "Sticks" Mueller and John "Stork" Fortner from NKU intramurals!!!!
  7. Didn't see it...know the gym well...one can go for the ball and still body blast someone needlessly into said wall. Been there, done that!...had it done, too!
  8. C'mon...it wasn't.....wait for it....................wirthless!
  9. Sr. stalwart Matt Giesler in the OF, maybe 1B...starter last year and showed a bat with pop in it! Will Logan Ferrarra return to the diamond? What about Matt's brother Jake? Jake is a big arm and stick, too. Only a soph-o-more. And surely there's a Pangallo-Sandfoss-Devoto-etc...to fill out the roster! (LOL)
  10. I will agree...statewide...this class is loaded!
  11. Zack "attack" Lother...way to go you old Muddog!! Takes a lickin' and keeps on stickin'....the J!!! Heard the big boys were playing rough with you? Don't worry...Tyler "Baby Shaq" Grubbs has your back! Nice win Birds! Keep the MoJo goin' baybeeeee!!
  12. If you could have heard the laurels of the honorees at the "That's My Boy" award dinner last night, you would know that the GOOD in HS/College FB FAR outweighs the minority of bad eggs that you hear about. It's a case of bad news sells making the ugly seem prominent.
  13. I guess it depends on whether they want to GET there or not!!
  14. CONGRATULATIONS to PAT VAN SANT of CovCath for being named "That's My Boy" award winner for 2009. What a great way to cap your senior season! Also, kudos go out to Beechwood's MATT MILLER as the Anthony Munoz offensive lineman of the year. A great event honoring some of the areas finest student athlete citizens! And don't let me forget Simon Kenton's Jeff Marksberry named Marvin Lewis Community Fund coach of the year! The black tie dinner held at the Netherland Hilton's Hall of Mirrors featured WCPO's John Poppovich as emcee and talks by Anthony Munoz, Brian Kelly of UC, and Marvin Lewis of the Bengals. It was a night of veritable "who's who" in NKY/SWO football for HS, college and pro levels.
  15. This year's "That's My Boy" winners will be announced at the 42nd annual National Football Foundation/Cincinnati Chapter banquet Tuesday (7 p.m.) at the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza downtown. Kentucky - Adam Dempsey, Highlands; Max Muckerheide, Conner; Brady Slusher, Beechwood; Patrick Van Sant, Covington Catholic. UC coach Brian Kelly will be keynote speaker. The Anthony Munoz Foundation will present its offensive and defensive lineman of the year to Beechwood's Matt Miller. The Marvin Lewis Community Fund will present its coach of the year award to Jeff Marksberry, Simon Kenton. Congratulations to all these fine individuals!!!
  16. Ryan Sainola of Highlands has definitely found the weight room!! The big lefty is primed to have a BIG senior season!!
  17. OBVIOUSLY, there was no coverage....but THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
  18. To beat the beast, you must know the beast! I think the Ft. Thomas candidate will prevail. It worked for basketball!
  19. BYU is also interested in Tony...tape is currently on the way to them!!!
