You have bashed Gallatin all year. You do realize they are 3-0 vs your district with all 3 games on the road. They would be the 1 seed in your district. Spencer has a nice team. They very well may finish higher than Gallatin in the regional tournament, but geez give it a break.

Compare the talent. Stanley or McKnight. I would take Stanley. Grubbs or feltner. Feltner Lay or turner. Close to a wash. I would take turner. Vail or Pardee. Another wash. I would take Pardee. Better defense and rebounding. Clinkenbeard or fort. Another hard call. I would take fort. Bench Shazier or Eades. Shazier Jones or kidwell. Jones Walton is deeper. Bashing either team or their schedule is silly. Both are good. Miles would have made walton better but he is out. I would rate the two teams even.

The night south beat SK Steiner was out with the flu. A number of SK players have dealt with illness. Every team is dealing with injuries and illness. Some nights you can overcome it and other nights you don't. Owen should have beaten North Oldham last night. Some nights you are just not good.

Indy, I believe the cancellation of the GC/TC game is on Gallatin. I was told upper admin got scared of approaching weather and pulled the plug on transportation at a late time- 4:30 ish.

SK is very good. It would not surprise me if they win the region. Quality point guard in Kitchens, quality big with Kelch, premium scorer with Niece, numerous other players who can score and defend, depth, physical and good coaching. They need to win their district. District winner plays a district loser. Somebody gets the loser of the 31st and will advance to the semis. The other district losers will be capable of pulling an upset. Assuming Oldham, WV, Gallatin and Collins win their districts(that is a big assumption, all could lose) playing Henry is the prize. Gallatin will have to play Anderson/Spencer, SK or South. Beating three big schools in a row is unlikely but possible.

Gallatin did not shoot well tonight. Good crowd on a Saturday night. Good win for South. Tough loss for Gallatin.

Lawrenceburg. I would call it an upset but not a great surprise. There are several good teams in the 8th.

I believe the Harvest Prep team Gallatin lost to would win the 8th by an easy spread. They were loaded.

Gallatin' schedule has turned out to be weak. They play schools their size for the most part and schedule most of the bigger schools once. Two years ago playing Owen three times was brutal. Computer rankings have a bias toward harder schedules. Every game is different in high school. Match ups are a key. South Oldham presents match up problems for everyone, no true center - can your center guard a 3 point shooter. There are several teams that can win in the 8th. It will be an interesting tournament.

There wasn't a favorite in the 8th at anytime this season. Oldham, south Oldham, Walton Verona, Simon Kenton, Collins , Anderson County, Spencer County and Gallatin County can beat anyone on any given night. The fans of each particular school think they are the favorite, but I'm not sure anyone is a clear cut favorite. Miles is a gifted shot blocker, but he is an offensive liability.

Kudos to Coach Brockman at Metcalfe. I have high hopes he can turn that program around.

I couldn't tell you how many have left the program. Gallatin County has received David Henson, Trent Maddox, nick brown , Zac brown. All started for gallatin. I am certain others have gone to other schools.

Ryle doesn't keep its talent. They lose many of the players that are the stars at gray. McFarland is no different than any other coach. He needs quality Jimmy's and Joe's. He has young talent right now. If he keeps them, they will be good in two years.

It is a new rule. A ref can give you a warning or he can go straight to the t. A warning does not apply to both unless it is given to both coaches.

I think it is worthy to say this. I did not agree with all of the refereeing, but overall, I would rate this as an excellently called game. The game was decided by the players, not the stripes.

I thought Gallatin was the better team tonight but Stanley would not be denied. Hats off to Stanley, he very much deserved the mvp.

Wood ford has no connections to the 8th. Franklin County makes more sense or move in Ryle it is closer to the 8th. This was a political move to appease Scott County. Wood ford guy on board of control. He gets his school in an easier region and Scott County separates their schools in their district. This does not pass the smell test. KHSAA is so dirty they don't even try to cover up their corruption.
