  1. Model was up 26-22 at the half but the trend of bad third quarters came back to hurt Model in this one. Sayre moves on to play LCA Thursday which will be followed by Berea and Frankfort. These games will be held at Model.
  2. 1st. Region: Mayfield 2nd. Region: University Heights 3rd. Region: Owensboro Catholic 4th. Region: Russellville 5th. Region: Bardstown 6th. Region: Louisville Holy Cross 7th. Region: Moore 8th. Region: Carroll County 9th. Region: Beechwood 10th. Region: Bishop Brossart 11th. Region: Lexington Christian 12th. Region: Danville 13th. Region: Barbourville 14th. Region: Hazard 15th. Region: Paintsville 16th. Region: Rose Hill Christian TB: 15th
  3. Model-52 Central-71 I think Model will hang in the game for about a half, but Central's depth will prove to much for them.
  4. West Jessamine will aslo be up there.
  5. Any word on why they quit?
  6. Henry Clay 79 Magoffin County 53
  7. I figured it would be a good game. Model has really surprised me so far this season. Let's see if they can keep it up.
  8. They have a lot of experience but also a talented group of younger players. They don't have all that much size, but their center is about 6'4" and is very athletic. They will get up in your face and will play defense and they also have some players who can shoot very well.
  9. Well I was just saying what I know. I wouldn't go and lie about something like that.
  10. Well I did play with Rich all summer and we had a gun on all of our pitchers. You'd be surprised. I know one game where I sat behind the plate with the gun and his fastball didn't fall below 87 the entire game. That game he topped at 91. I wouldn't make that up. Rich is a good 5 tool player. Don't go all crazy in saying people are wrong if you don't know for yourself. If thats not enough proof then you can ask Coach Morse from Danville and I'm sure he'll be glad to tell you.
  11. Rich Witten (Junior) would have to be considered in this group - he threw upper 80's on a regular basis last year reaching up to 92. Michael Bottoms (Senior and signed with Morehead State) and Matthew Robertson (Sophomore) will also be very good this year.
  12. anyone wanna take a stab at it?
  13. I think Danville and Mercer County are the preseason favorites to win the region.
  14. I would hardly call it a routine flyball when the kid had to dive for it.
  15. I think LCA might have something to say about Catholic winning the 42nd. They are the defending state champions, and didn't lose much.
  16. Dylan Holt (Anderson Co.)--University of the Cumberlands Ronnie Hawkins (Danville)--University of the Cumberlands Chase Patrick (Hazard)----Seminole Junior College Marty Parks (Madison Central)--Hiwassee Junior College Dylan McMaine (Madison Central)--Eastern Kentucky
  17. Mason County has a good pitcher in Ryan Keller. I don't know much about the rest of the team though
  18. There are some teams I know very little about so if you think something should be different just add it on. These are just how I think things will turn out. Remember it's still VERY early. 41st District 1.Woodford County 2.Franklin County 3.Frankfort 4.Western Hills *I do not know much about his district, however I think the top 2 teams will be this way with Frankfort and Western Hills being a toss up 42nd District 1.Henry Clay 2.Scott County 3.Bryan Station 4.Sayre *I'd say Henry Clay will win this district pretty easily. I don't know much about these teams either, but this is how it'll probably turn out. 43rd District Talk about a tough District!! It's very possible that every team in this district will be ranked in the top 25. 1.LCA 2.Lexington Catholic 3.Tates Creek 4/5. Dunbar/Lafayette *I figure LCA and Catholic will represent this district in regions, but after that I'd say it is pretty much a toss up. Somebody from lexington want to help me out on this one. 44th District 1.Model 2.Madison Southern 3.Madison Central 4.Berea *The winner this district will depend on who is playing the best ball at the time. Any of the top 3 teams could win, but its more realistic that Model or Southern win. They both return a lot of talented starters, while Central loses 9 starters they need to replace. While Berea hasan't won a game in few years they are improving and working hard everyday. Hopefully this is their year. Personally, I see Catholic taking the Region this year, they return basically the whole team and they are motivated to win. This is just my opinion, if yours is different dont yell at me, just post it along with reasons and we'll debate over it. Any way you look at it, it should be another fun region.
  19. I see...well i wish him the best of luck and i also wish leslie county the best of luck on the 2006 baseball season.
  20. I play with Riley during the summer's. He is a great player, and better yet he is a great person. I love being around him and playing games that we both love. It's a great experience for me. And i was just wondering...where has he received offers from?
