10th Region Next Year

Recommended Posts

I am a Scott Eagle supporter and as u all know, Scott is entering the 10th region next year and will be new to all the teams. How well do u think scott will compare against the other 10th region teams and do u think they have a shot at winning the region?

Good solid team this year, who had very good JV and Frosh teams the last couple years, indicating a strong younger group. Enters a tough district with Brossart and Campbell!!

Scotts Varsity team next year will be loaded with good juniors and seniors. Scotts varsity team next year will have 11 seniors and about 8 juniors. Should be fun to c how well they do in the 10th region. Scotts JV team next year will be decent. They will want their revenge against CovCath for their heartbreaking defeat in the 9th region finals, losing 2-1 in 10 innings. Scotts Freshman team will be hard to predict how well they will do in the new region. I dont know any of the players except Nick Hiller who is a pretty good pitcher.

Sounds as if Scott is coming into the 10th Region at the right time for them. Harrison County graduated 9 Seniors and there is no real front runner for 2006. However, all you 10th Region fans who may be licking their chops at Harrison County's rebuilding year, you'd better watch out for the Thorobreds. They still have a very good core group of players and if they can get some consistant pitching from Seniors to be Toomey, Custard, Ross, and Giles, along with Junior to be Lewis, and Martin they could be a force to reckon with.

Pendleton Co. should be a much better team next year.Although no powerhouse they will be competitive with everyone in the region.Their young players came on at the end this year and should be more experienced next year. They lost to Campbell in the finals of the district in the bottom of the seventh on some bad plays due to inexperience and the next game in the region lost to Harrison on a two out home run in the bottom of the seventh.I think these kids will hold those leads next year and come out on top of a lot of games.

Campbell will be strong next year, they will have the best bats in the district and maybe the region. The pitching should be solid but nothing to brag about. The group of kids returning next year no nothing but district titles. The Camels have won three in a row, and will be hungry for another.

Mason Co. will be young.... they lost a lot of key seniors but will find the right combination to feel those positions. A lot of kids are goin to have to step up to pitch only returning 2 pitchers that have experience... (Keller, Stafford). Also with the Bats kids are goin to have to feel the shoes of the seniors in 4 positions. I dont look for this team to lay down and die but to fight and claw and win some ball games

I honestly think Campbell Co. will be top 3 in the region next year. They return their entire outfield, SS, and 2 starting pitchers. This is what I see CC's lineup being next year. All players are seniors except 1, so there will be good leadership to go along with talent.

C- Nate Allen (sr.)- Split time last year at C with a senior.

1B- Travis Hurd (jr.)- Played behind Fuldner and Franzen last year and didn't bat much until the end of the season, but had 2 HR in less than 25 ABs. When he pitches, senior Justin Robertson will play 1B.

2B- Joe Ball (sr.)- played mostly OF last year with Joe Scharold at 2B.

3B- Austin Beal (sr.) Only player who didn't letter last year. Decent bat on JV.

SS- Brett White (sr.) Will be a 3 year starter for the Camels.

LF- Chris Steele (sr.) Called up from Jv at beginning of last season and started the rest of the season on varsity. Very good speed.

CF- Braden McCain (sr.) CC MVP last year, good power and average. CC's 5 hitter last year.

RF- Daniel Stein (sr.) Good arm from RF, puts the bat on the ball.

Pitching

#1 Travis Hurd

#2 Justin Robertson

#3 and #4 in the rotation are kinda up for grabs. Will be between Austin Beal, Charlie Loudermilk (sr.), Danny Jenkins (jr.), and Ross Riffe (jr.).

Looks to be a very good Senior-laden team returning for the Camels, but we all know pitching wins championships. If they can get a 3 and possibly 4 down in their rotation, they will do very well next year.

Only teams i really know about in the 10th is Brossart and the Camels, Scott beating both teams at a very close game, i believe up and comming Srs. beat both teams Swanson agianst brossart with Hr's by Chris Brann and GS Arrin Bush.. and Campbell was leading the whole game until the 5th with the final 5-1 with also good pitching by young pitching, everyone i mentioned is comming back so i hope to believe the Eagles will go far, one game at a time!!
