  1. I agree, they should challange for a district title also. But youth may catch up to them in big games. But I believe if you have big name talents like Ryan Howard and Brian Hubbard on the field, anything can happen in Hyden.
  2. Well, in Class 2A it should be Middlesboro. They have soo much talent coming back and there is no reason there shouldn't be a district and region title in Middlesboro next season.
  3. Ryan Howard of Leslie County. A 1,900 yard back in a mainly passing oriented offense this past season. Will be a force next year on the field.
  4. No guys... this is how it goes. He had a maroon suit until Mrs. Claus had it mixed in with the whites. She bleached it out and now, it's red. He's a hardcore Leslie fan... from what I hear. Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year
  5. Leslie is struggling as of now... but they have had a VERY tough early season schedule. As we all know (and witnessed last year) Leslie gets better as the season rolls on. They will be the top runner for the 14th region title when playoff time rolls around. Don't knock em right now guys... look at last season, not one person picked them to be the 14th region runner-up. They were picked as the favorite this season... let that tell ya summin when they have the same ballclub returning.
  6. I thought this thread was just a joke when I saw it posted
  7. Who are some of the alumni that play D-1 and NBA right now?
  8. Saw them play Leslie at the Hoopin' It Up tourney at North Laurel. They are scary, I mean #21 had to dunk on Leslie at least like 8 times. And their biggest guy, #50, was almost 7 foot and didn't even play til the end... that tells you how good they are :scared: Does anyone have info on them?
  9. Who all made it on the team... I missed 2A :madman:
  10. Ryan Howard broke the single game rushing record held at the school previously by Johnny Lash. I can't remember the exact number but he had over 330 yards against Breathitt County.
  11. I agree 100%. I know a lot of people growl and complain about their kids or another player they like not being on there but this is the most accurate list of all the best players in KY IMO. A lot of hard work and time was put into this list so guys, swallow your pride, and give these guys some respect. They don't have to do this, but put numerous hours of time into selecting these kids. Great list. :thumb:
  12. Breathitt was down this past year but they have been a very consistent team in their district and region.
  13. Does anyone have this team or any info on when it'll be out?
  14. Leslie will be returning a strong, but young offensive line. A standout, James Mosley, benches 300 and is just a sophomore :scared:
  15. Leslie has to replace 9 on both sides of the ball. There were a total of 16 seniors on the team.
  16. I went to the Syracuse-UL game the other day and he was a guest for them as a recruit.
  17. For Leslie County it had to be 3 big games: Middlesboro for the first district title in a long time Beating Breathitt for the first time since a guy named Couch played. Winning their first playoff game in 5 years.
  18. I will have to say that I see O Cath coming out on top in this one. They made it to State last year and missed their chance but I don't think that they will slip up again.
  19. Leslie has a good one in Brian Hubbard. He's a playmaker.
  20. Yes, Ryan Howard and Brian Hubbard will come back next year. Two quality players that should show great leadership on the field next season.
  21. I do wish the Pirates the best! And as a parent of a senior, of course I hated to see it end for my son....But that doesn't mean I'm not supporting Belfry....They are a great bunch of athletes with an outstanding coach...I know that they will represent the mountains with style, they always have! :thumb:
