  1. She started last year, when she was a freshman, but her teamates which was a senior was throwing about 2 feet more..
  2. A Sophmore from Leslie County High School.. Stephanie Caudill, a shotput thrower throws 27 feet in shotput.. do you think that it is good, that she throws so far, & she is so young?
  3. Leslie County all the way!!!!! :jump:  :ylsuper: :thumb: :dancingpa
  4. That is why we are so excited, because we haven't been this far in a very long time...We are very proud of all our boys.... :dancingpa
  5. It does my heart good to see the fans get behind these boys!!!! Whether it be Leslie County fans or an opposing team, because we are all cheering on our team....Good luck to everyone in the playoffs and welcome to Leslie County!!!!! :ylsuper:
  6. Yes we will and I must ask you now instead of later...Do you want fed with a spoon, fork, or do you prefer eating crow with your hands?
  7. Do I need to remind you my friend, that we will not be at Pond Creek but you will have to come to the Eagles Nest to play us...And like I have said before...The Eagles have a great bunch of fans and they have been showing up for the home games in record numbers...And I don't have to tell you how the fans can cheer a team right into victory... :dancingpa
  8. Nothing to be afraid of....We are just like you guys, a team who wants to win...These boys from Leslie have played together since they were in 7th grade and have struggled to get where they are...These are a great bunch of kids, both on and off the field...The D will suprise you and that's all I will say about that...When you get to Leslie County then you can see first hand just how good these boys are...Coach Koogler has these boys ready to play this Friday night...
  9. We don't want anyone to be afraid of us...We have watched our boys try to earn some respect from other players, and we feel they have finally earned that respect, and so what if we are bragging a little...The Eagles and their fans have earned the right to brag....This season has been a long time coming....And it's here for our boys and we are very proud... :dancingpa
  10. We are not Belfry fans, so we don't have the "big heads"...But we are some proud "LESLIE COUNTY EAGLES FANS"...
  11. I think Leslie County will suprise some people because they have saved their best playing for the last few games...I would be very suprised to see any team (including Belfry) beat Leslie County, especially at home...The Leslie County fans will be there to cheer these boys on to VICTORY!!!! :dancingpa
  12. Jerry Caudill from Leslie plans on going to visit Louisville on their home game on 11/26.
  13. The game will be won in the trenches. If Leslie's O and D-lines can hold their own against Sheldon Clark's huge O-line then I think that Leslie will win this one. Man this offense can score in a hurry. Leslie- 42 Sheldon Clark-28
  14. I saw a post about Phillip Haywood, and I really didn't think of him but he has done a great job. You wouldn't think so because Belfry is Belfry every year but he lost a dynamite TB tandem in David Jones and Doug Howard last year and he still does it. Other programs would have lost that backfield and they would have crumbled this year. Hats off to Coach Haywood, he does a heck of a job every year.
  15. He may not compare with the others, but hats off to him and that staff for turning that program in the right direction this year.
  16. IMO, Joe Beder at Knott County Central should get a little consideration if any. He took a beaten down KCC program and almost made it a playoff team this year.
  17. Leslie also has two more studs in Quentin Morgan at QB and Jerry Caudill at DT.
  18. I would say probably unless it was a big time D1 school then I would stay in KY.
  19. Happy, what I meant was that they have everything needed to win a state title. I used the wrong word, they have the talent, team togetherness, and the right mindset to be able to win.
  20. Leslie has the talent this year coming back and the right mindset to win state. Time will tell how good this team is, but this is the last time for a while that Leslie will be able to put "Leslie" and "State Championship" in the same sentence. For all of you comparing them stopping the run from this year to last year, two years... two different tales. During the M-boro and Breathitt games they did not play as a team and fell apart, blaming each other for ones mistake and imploding. IMO, I don't think that this team will do that, it has WAY too much senior leadership coming back to allow that to happen for a second straight year. I believe they can challenge for state, but like everyone has said this is all talk, and only time will tell...
  21. But remember Happy, talent doesn't always equal out to be more wins or a state championship... neither '94 or '95 made it to state.
  22. Talking to the LC coaches... they say that this team has the same if not better mindset and focus than what both '94 and '95 region teams had.
