With X scoring with 18 seconds left to beat Male is it time to...
Sorry, I need to get back on point as well. This season there are a number of very distinct tiers in Class 6A: Tier 1: Trinity Tier 2: Ballard, Ryle, St. X., Male, Manual, Simon Kenton, Eastern Tier 3: Tates Creek, Henry Clay, Boone County, Seneca, Greenwood, Nelson County Tier 4: Fern Creek, Pleasure Ridge Park, Lafayette, Conner, Campbell County, Meade County, North Hardin Tier 5: All the rest From this it looks like that Class 6A would be extremely competitive if Trinity would just go ahead and play a D3 college schedule.

All we have to do is watch a re-run of the CBS Rivals game televised a couple years ago to decide which coach has class and who we would rather have coach our sons. This really revealed the inner bowles of each program for all to view.

Male/Ballard Predicitions
Coach Wolfe has done an outstanding job with a Male team this season that is not overly endowed with talent. Both Ballard and Manual are far above the Bulldogs on the talent scale, but Male will make anyone work hard for whatever they get. Sorry you feel so disrespected.

You have your opinion and I have mine, and never the twain shall meet. I guess I should have qualified that by saying "most talented of All-Time", since they didn't get the title.

How many tickets are you allowed to sell at your stadium?
Even though the venue is outside, it is enclosed and therefore has a fixed amount of space available for occupation by human bodies. You can only put so many sardines in a can. Surely there is some sort of rule for this. If for example it is the Fire Marshal or insurance company who establishes the rule, what criteria is used to determine the number (people per square foot of enclosed space or what)?

I guess we all look at teams differently. In my mind the best Trinity team of all, at least prior to the All-Time Greatest this season (soon to be surpassed next season and again the season thereafter) was the one who took the field in 1984 (Carwell and Donnie Gardener, Mike Phiefer, Andy Murray, and many more).

How many tickets are you allowed to sell at your stadium?
The question is, if a maximum number does exist, what is it, how is derived, and who derives it? What is the stadium size at Simon Kenton, Neerfan, and what is the maximum crowd you have heard of there?

How many tickets are you allowed to sell at your stadium?
Since most stadiums have fences around them and gates for entering and leaving, don't you think there would be some restriction on how many people you can put in a confined space?

How many tickets are you allowed to sell at your stadium?
Thanks Jumper Dad for giving me some information on the setup at Somerset. Do we have some more volunteers who can help me out with my attendance questions?

How many tickets are you allowed to sell at your stadium?
Is there a maximum amount, and who determines what that number is? Is it a legal ordinance, Fire Marshal rule, based on parking availability, or what governs the sellout limit? Please also note the name of the school, the seating capacity of the stadium, and the largest crowd you can remember attending a game there.

Saint Xavier (OH) 17 Trinity 10
Thanks! I would think that there would be some kind of code covering this. What I still do not understand is how the maximum number is derived?

Au contraire, the view is not so great (or for that case even existent) when you are a short person lined up behind a taller person while standing non-tiered around a fence. Once again, I am inquiring about what constitutes a "sellout" at a high school game, whether it is at Trinity or anywhere else? It seems from the numbers quoted here that it has very little to do with seating capacity. However, I would think that there is some legal or insurance limit for how many people you can pack into a restricted area.

Male/Ballard Predicitions
The Bruins defense is as good as the Bulldogs, and their offense featuring Parker, Hardin, Crawford, Wallace, and Flippens is much better. Ballard will handle Male much easier than St. X. did. I'm going to wait a couple of days, however, before venturing a final score.

Saint Xavier (OH) 17 Trinity 10
Nope, the stadium only seats a total of 4,800. This breaks down approximately to 3,500 on the home side and 1,300 on the visitors side. That is why I was wondering about how many tickets can be sold before it is called a "sellout".

Since the stadium only seats 4,800 total people, that's 3,700 standing...amazing. Just out of curiosity, what constitutes a sellout? Is there some kind of legal or insurance limit on the number of tickets you can sell? Is the limit connected at all with the stadium's seating capacity?

Neither Hayden nor McMurray played tonight for St. X..

Allen County-Scottsville 19 Greenwood 7
I actually thought that Greenwood would pull this one out, but it was not to be the case. Trailing 19-0, Greenwood got their only score late.

Saint Xavier 14 Male 7
I hit this one very close in the prediction thread: "Alan60 is really not sandbagging when he says that that there is definitely the possibility that Male beats St. X. tonight. The Tigers have nowhere near the depth of talent (numbers-yes, talent-no) nor the offensive leadership, line play and firepower that they had in 2007, 2008, and 2009. In addition, there is a large dropoff in the kicking and punting game which has been a staple linchpin of Tiger success for years. Until these issues are resolved (and I'm not so sure the personel is on the roster to resolve them), the Tigers will have to rely on their defense and playing disciplined, mistake-free ball. On the other hand, Male's offense is clicking in high gear behind speedsters Giddens and Morris. The biggest factor in Male's improvement is the defensive change that Coach Wolfe has brought with him. No longer do the Bulldogs run that 10-men-in-the-box, one-on-one-press-coverage defense, which gave up all the points to simple quick trap plays or deep fly pattern plays. Male is making everyone work hard for their points this season. I have picked St. X. to win in a close low-scoring contest, which will look nothing like the Tigers 62-21 victory last year. Saint Xavier 13 - Male 7 " The Tigers scored the winning TD on a 4-yard run by Daylen Hall with only 18 seconds remaining. Way to find a way to win, Tigers!! :ylsuper:

Louisville St. Xavier 47 Louisville Male 0 (Frosh)
I have to admit that the Male Freshman team that the Baby Bengals played Thursday night was the most disorganized crew I have ever seen in either grade-school (4-8) or high school competition (9-12). There were numerous occasions where there were either too many or too few players on the field. On the field, the young Bulldog players seemed to be in a constant fog about what they were supposed to do. The first half score of 36-0 reflected the mass chaos which was occurring to Male on the field even more so than it did the talent of the Baby Bengals. This was in direct contrast to the Male JV team who the Tigers played Monday night. They, on the other hand, seemed from a coaching standpoint to have all facets of the game properly delegated, and the young Male team on the field performed smoothly and at a very high level. The JV Tigers were very fortunate to emerge with a 14-12 victory.
