Congrats to Coach Maynard and the Raceland Rams.

What a year they had last year going 10-2, for a program that didn't have much success, it is great to see.

I can't remmeber his name, but they lose one of the best full backs I have ever seen play the postion. I know they where looking like they wanted to through the ball the little more to go with a all ready great running game so who knows. I hope the Tomcats go a long way this year.

I think they lose there back field of three backs over 1300 yds rushing, I wonder what they have coming back.

I seen your plan if you through out tradition, here is mine if you just think out side the box a little. My idea is basketball and wrestling can start December 15th can end in May. Hey Pro-basketball still playing why not high school basketball. Spring Practice in the Middle of May great weather for football. Then Baseball gets May, June, and July. Just a great time of the year for baseball. Football and Soccer should get August to December.

Just for us who don't know please list all the All-star games in your area this summer. Please post rosters, dates, and times. Your opinion on who made the or miss the all-star games are welcomed, Thank you for any information.

We need a high school football hall of fame.

I know some people played alot of sports, but we need to know who went in for football.

Man this is a shocker, I know I am not close to the program, but I always figured that when Raceland Ram got that break through season and make it to the state finals that Randy Vanderhoof would be head man. I played and coached the game so when you see a physical hard hitting team like the Rams you can't help become a fan of the football program. My thinking was Raceland with some great coaching had two teams in the last few years that had all the parts to win it all, so with that you know that Raceland as a program has a great shot at some point winning it all. To me, it is a bit of a shocker, but I don't know the mans personel life or reasons he may have, so you guys like Ram who are closer to the program problemly knows more then I at this point. I will say this Randy Vanderhoof has done a great job at Raceland, in my mind one of great coaches in the area.

Randy Vanderhoof will all ways be one of the best Head coachs in this area period.

Think about what people are saying here, We have been giving you all the examples and great points about why great athletes don't fit the mode, but you say it is or it isn't, you are a great player because your D1A, it's not just black or white,{ it is or isn't, please it is not about race} people are different even if there may have the same size or weight it is about heart believe it or not, Terrell Davis was playing nose tackle in high school he was 5-11 less then 200 pounds had a lot of heart, no he was not a D1A nose tackle but coachs saw him differently he became a great NFL running back. I think we all understand the points that your making here, but we need to think out side the box some times to.

I agree that most of the players that get drafted go to D1A schools and some really great players fall through the cracks all the time as well.

What direction is the program going? What does Greenup Co. have comming back? Greenup Co. had some bright spots last season, will they make a complete turn around this next season or will it take some more time.

They need a hard working coach up to the task. For a young coach looking to make a name for him self, this would be a great challenge, to take a team for 0 to maybe 5 or 6 wins is a big turn around. Two big things that coachs repect the most is first winning the state title as the head man, second turning around down program to a winner. All the coach needs is support and patients.

What team beat Boyle Co. in 1979, I mean 9-1 is a very awesome record to miss the playoffs. I am just asking not to bring back bad memoris, I love the history of great football programs.

Phil Simms didn't have the best talent around him at Morehead State, the pro's knew that, that is why he was the seventh pick over all in the draft, but that is on another topic, I agree recruiting is extremely different today, but my point is not all the best players go to D1A schools. Miles Austin star wide out for the Dallas Cowboys from Monmouth[N.J.], great players fall through the cracks all the time. Recruiting may be different today, but like the old days as well as today recruiting is not prefect, great players get over looked all the time and that is fact.

A great coach, but most all a great man, Roy Walton was and all ways one of the best of all time coachs to coach any sport in the state of Kentucky.

Randy Frazier is a good coach and a good hire for Middesboro.

How about one of the best QB's to ever come out of the state of Kentucky, Phil Simms Morehead State. He played for the New York Giants and won the Super bowl and made a few Pro bowls. I guess Louisville, Kentucky, and every other D1A schools was wrong about this guy.
