Why was the Raceland kid ejected?

One of their players said that Tommy Holbrook will be the new coach.

1. Rowan Co.- Furman back plus new player from Indiana. 2. Russell- Okoro, Fortman plus guards have improved. 3. Raceland-Will really be tough, especially when Vanderhood comes back 4. Rose Hill- Top two players in the region. Must get a supporting cast. Britt could be the difference. 5-8. Toss-up. East, West, Boyd, Ashland. All have their plusses- East has Tachett, Myers and a good system. West has the Burchetts(if they come back 100%) and tradition, Boyd has a lot of experience, Ashland's young girls are now in high school. 9/10/11. Fleming Co.,Morgan Co., and Greenup Co. 12/13 Lewis Co and Elliott Co. 14-16 Bath Co., Elliott Co. , Fairview. Injuries and late transfers could change a lot of this.

Good coach. Got a lot out of what he had. Good person too. Wish him luck at Bracken.

And the 8 years before that?

Flynn knows how to run and gun. In '90 Boyd Co. won the 16th by rotating 10 players and pressing teams as they "got off of the bus", as they say. Flynn's Holmes' team subbed on every whistle, rotated 11 players and eventually wore B.C. down on their way to the state finals. A fine coach and a fine person.

Safe as Milk---one of the greatest teams ever assembled. Their battery was often compared to Mel Stottlemyer and Jake Gibbs while their second baseman reminded people of the wonderous Horace Clarke.

Very classy young lady, she deserves it.

Congrats to Brandy--very deserving of the award. Next year Queen, Terry and Fortman will be the leading candidates.

Congrats to Rose Hill. 16th region has a state champioship and a state finals berth in the last 6 years along with a win by East Carter in the first round a couple of years ago. The 16th has been represented very well in the millenium. Laura Terry has been on one of the hottest two to three week streaks of anybody in the last 10 years. Emily Queen's work ethic resulted in her averaging a double/double, an amazing performance, and Kayla Faulkner did the little things that made sure her team either won or, in the case of the Lex Cath game, kept it close. Congrats again.

Defense has to go to Ashland. This makes them legitimate.

The steal by Reliford typifies this Ashland team. Very unselfish, and Wilcox had his best game of the year at the right time.
