Nobody mentioned Coach Ward. They were other coaches before Hick's besides coach Ward. I know Coach Ward and he did do alot for the kids. The Hooters trip is every teenagers dream. Just kidding. He has done alot for his players and they always got treated first class by him. They are coaches that players have a possitive experience with and you will see them hang around the coach or come up and say Hi when they see Them. I didnt see too many previous players that played for Hicks in the GC gym the last few years.

These parents that are supporting Hicks has no reason not to support Sutton. He has done nothing but try to make the best out of a bad situation. You sit and watch these parents and it is like they want the kids to lose to make a point. They are parents of kids that graduated last year that are still hanging around keeping things stirred up. Jay Bilas is right. show some class and get away and give the team some space. If Hicks wants what is best for the team why is he still hanging around talking to parents and players. the best thing for the kids is for him to disappear and give them some room. He proves over and over again that this is all about Him. Im sure he sits in the stands and second guesses every move Coach Sutton makes and tries to rally people into beliveing he could do it better and they are people still listening. Thats amazing. What could come out of this except disruption. Hey guys, It doesnt matter if he can do or would have done it different or better. He is done at Greenup. there is a new coach and if the team plans on making it past the first game of the district, everyone better jump on and back Sutton or this team does not have a prayer to get to Morehead.:irked:

I know Coach Sutton personally and I can assure you that he has done nothing to undercut Hicks. He has been a trouper to accept this job under these conditions. He has great character, and the one big difference not only from Hick's but coaches before him is He will always put the kids first. He is about the kids and cares about the kids. It is not about him. Too many coaches want the spotlight on them instead of the kids. Too many big ego's in todays coaching. Alot of coaches has lost track of why they are there. Several people were put on the spot when interviewed. Do you tell the truth, or do you lower your standards to cover for someone clearly breaking the rules. I dont call that undercutting I call that telling the truth. If you have to lie to cover someone than that should tell you something right there. I got a feeling these players that have talked to you are the same ones doggin it on the floor.

I was at the game last night, This is very unfair to coach Sutton, you have Hicks still in the stands and talking to players and parents. Not to mention any names but they are a couple of players doggin it. Wheather it be because Hicks is not the coach or because they just simply dont care at this point. They are not playing hard. Standing around not getting anything done. The shame of it is they are nobody on the bench to bring in to push the ones on the floor. If the players that are not playing hard dont decide to pick it up then the season is over. They wont get out of Lewis County with a win with the attitudes they have right now. Cant really judge Sutton on this years performance with efforts like he is getting from a couple of his players. This is the softest Greenup team Ive seen in a long time. The contraversy this season may be more than some of the players can handle. Especially when it is clear that some of the parents are still supporting Hicks. Its funny that the kids of the parents doing this are the ones not giving effort.

Greenup I believe is #5. beat Boyd pretty easy at the greenhouse. East should be 6th. Boyd then Rowan Co. 5. Greenup 6. East 7. Boyd 8. Rowan:banana:

I'll take the Lion Heart Elliott Boys by 6 at home The out of controll Ashland student section may not set well with the friendly people in Elliott County. I know last year the Ashland student section was calling the Elliott boys "Inbread" I'm sure the Elliott Co. administration will have someone standing right in front of the Ashland student section to stop these kind of comments. :fight:

Also I know Sean Horn was turned down to coach in the greenup system because he was a principle at one of the Elementary Schools. It is a district rule.

Have you forgotten that Hicks brought this all on himself when he turned in Robinson from Russell to the KHSAA and then pulled the complaint a few days later. Wonder why he pulled that compaint. Do you think he may have been in contact with Robinson also. (phone records) He opened the whole can of worms. I guess you want the super to look the other way on the issue. So than your saying its ok to brake rules. The super is a great guy who goes by the book.He has devoted his whole career to the Greenup County school system. He has been a PE teacher, Football coach and won a couple of state championships in Legion baseball with the Greenup County players. He has gotten a bad rap on this by people who do not know the whole story. If he dosent follow up on this I believe this would put the school in a bad situation with the KHSAA. Once a school official being a coach, teacher, Superintendent, has knowledge of wrong doing they must report it or face the KHSAA. I would rather see a coach who got himself in this position go than the kids and the school system be punished.

Robbie Stenzel has a very bright future ahead of him. He is a great kid, and a very hard worker. He also had a pretty good aau coach at a young age. Ha Ha

Knowles shoots the three ball well, but as good a Chris Lofton, come on. Lofton is the best three point shooter in the Country at any level.

Patrick Patterson is a great kid with a bright future ahead of him. If OJ, Taylor and Williams would give him the ball more, they would be a much better team.

So you think the superintendent would stick his neck out so that the son-in-law of the AD could become basketball coach. I dont think anyone is that stupid. :laugh: :laugh:

They have been alot of people try to guard him. Its no secret and your not the first one that has thought of this. He is a division 1 player at a high school level. Its not that easy to guard a 6'5" shooting guard. He had 42 at Rowan last week. I believe Coach Daniels knew he was on the team. I dont think he is a secret.:sssh: Most teams dont have any 6'5" defenders. Good Effort with everything that is going on down there. Hopefully its all over. I have a feeling its not.

I agree, I think it is Suttons to loose at this point. Good young up and coming coach with good knowledge for the game. I believe Scott Humphrey got his first head coaching job around the same age. Is that right Jay Bilias?? Also you cant coach in the greenup school system if you are in an adminstrative position. Mills is the vice principle.

What has the Administration done to this coach for his actions? Oh, I forgot the school princpal was setting right beside him, laughing at all of his comments at the Rose Hill players.
